Go there and experience it! Very nice that there was unlimited access to the spa during opening hours, unfortunately there is no shared sauna. It also seems to be a popular destination for bachelor/bachelorette parties on weekends so take this into consideration if you are there for a silent couples retreat. There is no mosquito net in the room so beware of mosquitoes if you open the window.

We love this hotel so much. We wanted to stay longer. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the spa. The sauna, indoor pool and hot tubs were fabulous. They are beautifully designed in a modern way that stays in harmony with the old world feeling of the hotel. The restaurant is absolutely delicious. We live in New Orleans, LA : a city known for its good food, so when we travel the food bar is set high. My husband is gluten free and dairy free and the staff constantly checked with the kitchen to make sure he could safely eat everything. It was consistently delicious. Tallberg is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. I can’t wait to visit again and stay longer.

Amazing spa with pool and sauna. Extremely cozy hotel atmosphere and plenty of fireplaces. Food is very good as well. We had the char and as a starter a great roe on toast.

A Swedish Gem

We have stayed at this charming family run hotel many times and will certainly come back. Location in the centre of the ancient village of Tällberg is beautiful and very convenient for exploring and enjoying lovely views and historical buildings by lake Siljan.

Beautiful location in Dalarna. We spent all our time touring the quaint little towns and the Dala Horses being carved and painted in Nusnas, went to Mora and toured the Zorn Museum. We enjoyed fine dining at Akerblads. The service was fantastic just wished we had time to enjoy the spa.

The rooms are old, furniture was worn out, but gave anyway a nice and cozy feeling overall. The bathroom though really needed an upgrade door was difficult to close, shower would wet the whole room, and toilet was loud and gave off some smell, if it hadn't been flushed in a few hours. The outside pool was very nice, but the ones downstairs didn't feel inviting at all. Dinner service was very slow and the food didn't live up to the pricepoint. Probably wouldn't go back.

På plussidan. Tällberg är en unik plats och Åkerblads känns verkligen genuint. Bra restaurang och bra frukost. Jag var på cykelsemester och var extremt tacksam för att de hade ett utrymme där jag kunde ställa cykeln säkert över natten. Bodde i en annexbyggnad. På minussidan: Rummet och badrummet var litet. Litegrann var det en del av helheten. Komforten har fått stryka på foten eftersom det är en genuin miljö med lite äldre byggnader.
