Christmas Shopping

Posted 09-Nov-2015
We came to Tallahassee to do some early Christmas shopping. The hotel was in close range to all types of shopping. It was very modern inside. Check in was completed in less than 5 minutes. We did, however, have to go to the front desk for toilet paper. The room was not stocked well. I would also recommend a little more variety on the breakfast selections. There was a lot of "bread" type products and for those trying to be health conscious it would be nice to have other selections as well.

Perfect room design.

I was just passing through. Great design for privacy. Only reason not 5 stars is because it took forever to get hot water to the bathroom sink faucet at midnight. However, the next morning it was almost instant hot water at sinks and shower; I suppose morning was faster because of more demand throughout the floor. I would stay there again.

Adequate for our family's needs

Posted 21-Sep-2015
Beds were extremely uncomfortable. I wasn't expecting fancy sleep number or tempurpedics, just a restful nights sleep without the excruciating backache the next morning. Both my wife & I tossed and turned for a long time trying to get comfortable. Also, the pillows were small but super thick ~6-8", so stomach sleepers might want to consider bringing their own pillows if possible. The fixtures like the toilet paper holder and towel hooks were extremely dusty, the maids skip the wipe down of these areas quite regularly it seems. Regarding the bathroom layout, there's one thing we did we did find particularly appealing-the toilet and shower were separated in their own little rooms, so our family of four wasn't having to do the typical morning "bathroom-ballet" by choreographing toilet and showering activities. The doors to both of these rooms though, slid on tracks and had no provisions for locking them, so I found it a little frustrating having my young daughters walking in on me while I was "doing my business". The fridge was roomy enough for us to put in a dozen bottles of water along with 2 4-packs of those expensive coffee drinks my family loves. The pool outside was fairly small, my daughter estimated it to be around 15'x18' in size. It's open until 11pm, but there were no lights inside the pool. All-in-all, I consider the room we were in a fair value, we will certainly consider this hotel again next time we visit Tallahassee.

Nice Hotel but the noise level is excruciating.

Posted 06-Sep-2015
Pros: Clean and close to everything.
Cons: Staff's knowledge of the rooms and what they can do for guests.
Location: All facilities were nearby and in a good location.
I checked in and had called in advance about having a room with no one above me and they assured me that wasn't a problem. When I checked in they gave me a 3rd floor room which still had a floor above it. The 3rd floor did have a few rooms with no one above but they said I couldn't have one. They checked people in above us who sounded like they had a party until 3 AM. I had to be at an important meeting the next morning so I had very little sleep. I was staying another night and requested to be moved to the fourth floor which for some reason now they could. They put me in a room with some type of A/C unit on top of it that when it kicked on made the entire room shake and sounded like a helicopter was on top of us. Finally at my wits end I called again and they moved us to another room which was perfectly quiet. My question is why they couldn't have done this in the first place.

Excellent hotel. We left some property in the room and the hotel contacted us and mailed it back to us
