"I wish we knew that the restaurant was under renovation when we booked. But the location was nice… far enough away from the cruise ships… I do recommend a rental car if you are not on a cruise. Uber gets pricey."

"This is a really stunning house in possibly the best location in Juneau. Whether socked in by fog and listening to the fog horns of ships or blessed with clear skies, the views -- from sea level opposite downtown Juneau -- are why you come here. The house is well equipped for cooks and there are fun fire features indoors (pellet stove) and out (a gas heater on the deck and a fire bowl on the lawn). We used them all in a memorable week with family. We had some minor issues with fuses and a heater than wouldn't shut off but nothing to knock the lodge from its 5-star status. The host Samantha was flexible, allowing us to check in a few hours early, and quick to respond to a phone call. We'll be back."

Updated Duplex with Mountain & Filtered Water View

"We were two grandparents and two grandchildren (ages 14 and 12). Everyone loved the duplex. It was nicely appointed; the kitchen was well stocked; the furniture was very comfortable… especially the beds; the view was great and Adam was extremely helpful while we were there and even before we got there. He sent a “Guidebook“, which had helpful information about the accommodations and recommendations for restaurants, as well as interesting activities. All the restaurant recommendations proved to be spot on. Location is perfect. It is on Douglas Island, just across the bridge, about 5 to 10 minutes from the center of Juneau. The duplex has a nice view of the cruise ships docked in the Juneau harbor."
