"Not having an elevator made it difficult for me (age 81) and my husband (age 83). A staff member helped us with our luggage at check-in, but we were on our own when picked up at 5:50AM for our ride to the airport."

"The room was fantastic. It had a full kitchen and a separate bedroom. The location of the room was very convenient and the location of the hotel was superb. We could see the fireworks from the room and the parade preparations. It was right next to the whale fountain and only a 10 minute walk to downtown. Not a fancy room or hotel but probably one of the best places we have ever stayed. We will definitely come back!!"

"Amazing stay. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. 10 minutes outside of town on a quiet road. Beautiful views. The kitchen was perfect for the couple meals we made. Nice appliances. Bedrooms were perfect. Nice towels! Very satisfied with everything! Thanks again!"

"Great communication. Gorgeous view. Great sleep spaces for teens. Douglas island is easily accessible by Uber and Taxi (in summer). Perfect for a family with agile adults or teens. I traveled with my older parents and the set-up was not conducive for them. Too many little stairs and not great railing support on the exterior.There is a bedroom on the upper level with a pullout couch that I would not recommend using for a bed as it is unstable and uncomfortable."

"We are seniors from Minnesota who stayed for a week at this wonderful place. We found the studio very cheery, functional (great cookware), comfortable (very nice bed), with outstanding views of the mountain, waterfall, and channel. The location was perfect, with direct access to the historic Treadwell Mining trails and the beach for morning or evening walks. The hosts were great. We were extremely pleased that we vacationed here and highly recommend it to other travelers."
