Top Takoucht Hotel Reviews

Essaouira Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"The property was beautiful, the room was clean, the staff were kind and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is that the only place to sit outdoor and enjoy the gardens is the pool/dining area, which is always very busy. The pictures make it appear that there are other outdoor areas to sit and read a book, for example, but that is not the case. NOTE: If you want a calm, relaxing holiday, this is NOT the hotel for you. Even in the off season it is full of families with babies and young children, so there is a lot of noise early in the mornings and there is never really an opportunity to enjoy the pool and gardens."

DAR ELWAN. BERBER HOUSE WITH POOL, TREE GARDEN, HAMMAM.

10/10 Excellent

"An absolute gem of a place. Patrick has created something really special here in Essaouira. Super artsy, full of character, and packed with incredible music (the vinyl and CD collection is unbeatable). Every room has its own vibe and interesting pieces to look at. Easily five stars, and we’re already planning our next trip back."

Riad Ghazal

10/10 Excellent

"This is my second stay here. Although the riad is slightly out of the way up an unmade road it is a sanctuary of peace and quiet! The rooms are clean and well furnished. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is an added bonus. The breakfast is good and plentiful. I highly recommend trying their “Thé Royale” which makes a pleasant change from mint tea."

10/10 Excellent

6-bedroom villa in amazing location with a wonderful view

10/10 Excellent

"We absolutely loved our stay at Lala Argana! The house is beautifully designed, very cozy yet modern. Communication with Hanane was always quick, and he was extremely helpful in making sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. It was a bit tricky to get there, but was not a big deal. Just a reminder that during the summer, temperatures can be quite high compared to Essaouira, so it can get pretty hot at night!Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for a very peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings. Hopefully, the area will stay this calm :)))"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Takoucht?

The best area to stay in Takoucht is within the Palmeraie district, particularly along the Route de Fès, for a luxurious and tranquil experience.

The Palmeraie is known for its vast palm groves and spacious properties, offering a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. It's a sprawling area dotted with high-end resorts and private villas, providing a sense of exclusivity and calm. While it's a short drive from the Medina, the district offers a peaceful environment with beautifully landscaped gardens and ample space.

Couples seeking a romantic and secluded getaway will find the Palmeraie ideal. Many resorts here offer private pools, spa facilities, and fine dining options, creating a ideal setting for relaxation and intimacy. The quiet surroundings and expansive properties ensure a peaceful holiday.

For families, the Palmeraie is an excellent choice due to the larger resorts often providing extensive grounds, multiple swimming pools, and dedicated activities for children.

When is the best time to go to Takoucht?

The best time to visit Takoucht, Marrakech, is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months.

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C. This avoids the intense heat of the summer and the cooler evenings of winter, making it ideal for exploring the city's attractions and enjoying outdoor activities. The spring brings blooming gardens, while autumn offers comfortable temperatures for wandering through the souks and visiting historical sites.

For couples looking for a romantic getaway, these seasons provide superb conditions for enjoying rooftop dinners, exploring the Majorelle Garden, or taking a hot air balloon ride over the Atlas Mountains without the discomfort of extreme temperatures. The evenings are mild enough for leisurely strolls through Jemaa el-Fna square.

Travellers interested in cultural experiences will find these months excellent for visiting the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the various museums, as the comfortable weather allows for extended periods of sightseeing.
