Only 2 staff members were present during my stay. One of them didn't speak English or Japanese, making communication very difficult. The rooms had no TV or furniture other than the beds and a single nightstand. I don't mind simple, no-frills hotels. But for the price - over $50 a night - it simply wasn't worth it. On the plus side, the room was clean and had a nice view of the ocean (I had a single, but they upgraded me to a bigger room), and the hotel restaurant offers some excellent Vietnamese food.

Excellent value
This spotlessly clean hotel is run by Kazu, who speaks English and is a great cook. He and his small staff were eager to do whatever they could to make our stay better. We went snorkelling at a beach in the northwest of the island - staff dropped us off and picked us up. Other guests went hiking and fishing with a guide (choice of Japanese or American). The hotel is not near anything but everyone seemed happy to stay in at night because the food was so good. Aircon in the rooms worked well, perfect for a siesta during hot afternoons. The only downside is that the beach in front of the hotel is not very appealing, particularly at low tide. We would gladly go back!

Lovely stay on the beach
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. This hotel is situated right at the beach. There are some houses next to the hotel, but the village is 2 kilometres away. The staff is very friendly and allways ready to meet your requirements such as driving you any place you want at any time. They serve Nice and tasty food, which has never been the same during our stay. We recommend the Japanese style breakfast. yum!

beautiful bays, a bit remote, ok hotel
The location is scenic. The staff (cook and receptionist) were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay with them. The hotel facilities were basic. The view from the dining room bar was beautiful with a beach and bay to walk along or swim in. You needed a car or a bus to go to places. It is a quiet location.

Remote hotel in quiet bay
A small hotel right at the beach in a nice bay. It is located on northern part of Iriomote island. It is not far from a bus stop but it would be good to have your own transportation. The room was clean but basic and had no WiFi. That was only available in the common area downstairs. I had good meals in the hotel itself.

Personnel sympa, mais : hotel vraiment trés cher pour trés peu de services et une chambre pas pratique. Pas de rangement, pas de penderie. Petit déjeuner non compris, étonnant à ce prix. Rideaux déchirés, rideau de douche sale, moisi. Pas d'éclairage à notre étage, il fallait utiliser les portables. Hotel limite, à 30 euros en Thaïlande, oui, mais à 145 euros au Japon, ça ne les vaut pas. Bien situé, c'est tout. Nous avons séjourné à la pension Hoshinosuna, bien mieux. Attention pour la baignade, j'ai vu 2 serpents dans l'eau...

オーナー不在でホテルも閉まっていました
タイトル通りです。ホテルに着いたら電気も消えており、玄関も鍵が閉まっており、インターホンも壊れておりで八方塞がりでした。結局近隣の方に色々ご迷惑をおかけして連絡を取ってもらい判明したことは、「オーナーは2日後（帰る前日）まで海外旅行で不在」「ベトナムの女性がいるが言葉が通じず何も出来ない」でした。 対応出来る方がいないので、部屋には案内して貰いましたが食事は自分で何とかしなければならず、調理場と冷蔵庫の中身を適当に使って良いと言われましたがろくな物も無く、油こってりのフライパンや埃被った食器、ゴキブリの徘徊する調理場で何とかご飯を作り過ごしました。 電気は通っていたので助かりましたが、ガスが通っておらず、結局風呂は、宿泊の間は水で何とかしないといけないなど散々な目に遭いました（オーナーが帰って来ても結局使用不可）。 一応泊めては頂いたので大きな事は言えませんが、返金してもらっても良いんじゃないかと思ったりしました。一昨年は対応が良かっただけに非常に残念です。まぁオーナーが変わってしまったので仕方ないのかも知れませんが。投稿出来ない文章かも知れませんが真実なので一応記載しておきます。

我不能入住這酒店，因我去到時，酒店沒有開，沒有人，有鎖鎖住。我須要即時找其它酒店，當時已經是下午五時左右，就天黑，一個不好的经驗，為何没有提我們不要去此酒店

静かなビーチに面した隠れ家的なホテル
ホテルのすぐ前がほとんどプライベートビーチのようで、すばらしい景色が広がっている。泳ぐこともできるし、シュノーケリングもよいだろう。圧倒的に良いロケーションである。オーシャンビューの部屋から、すばらしい景観が目の前に広がる。波の音や虫の鳴き声ぐらいしか、聞こえてこない。時折、近くの公民館から三線の音が響いきて、癒やされる。部屋はユニットバスがついているが、お湯を出しても１０分程度待たないと熱くはならない。ここでは、すべてがのんびりしている。部屋にはクローゼットやゴミ箱も無いが、眠るだけならば十分。車で５分ほどのところにスーパーがあるので、そこで空箱をもらってくればゴミ箱ができる。食堂にはいつも停まったままの壁時計が「ここでは時間を忘れなさい！」と主張している。少なくともauの携帯はつながるし、、インターネット接続も無料でさせてもらえる。

すごく楽しかったです。
ホテルは若干古めですが、掃除もきっちりされており快適。 バスタオルを毎日交換してくれないのと、港よりかなり離れているのでそこは不便です。 オーナーはすごく気を使ってくださる人なので、 次回西表に行った時はまたお世話になります。

良かったです！
建築年数からするとそれなりの状態ではあったが、 部屋は広く清潔感があり、季節もののパイナップルを スーパーで購入して包丁を入れてもらうようにお願い したところお皿に盛りつけられて、出していただけました。 また夜の夜食でパスタを別途おお願いしたところ、 此方の要望を受けた上でお任せのパスタを作っていただき おいしくいただきました。 次回西表に行く時も、また利用したいと思います。

国外にいる感じ
ホテル全体は古いものの、部屋のバストイレはリニュアルされとても綺麗。シーサイドの部屋からは遠浅の海が見える 部屋が空いていたからか、シーサイドの部屋にグレードアップしてくれた。 対応してくれたスタッフは外国人で、外国に旅行した気分だった

Hotel Blue Moon ist ein kleines Haus im Nordwesten der Insel Iriomote, mit direktem Zugang zum Strand (getrennt nur durch einen Zubringerweg). Hier wollten wir uns während unserer Japanrundreise erholen. Die erste Enttäuschung: Das Hotel liegt zwar unmittelbar am Strand, ist aber kein Strandhotel, d.h. keine Liegen, Sonnennschirme etc. vorhanden. Möchte man lesen, so muss man es im Sand tun - es wäre kein Problem, wenn man danach draußen duschen könnte. Nein, voller Sand muss man sich durchs Haus ins eigene Zimmer (OG) begeben. Die nächste Überraschung: Die, an sich geräumigen Zimmer verfügen außer Bett (noch ein kl. Sessel) über kein Mobiliar (Schrank oder zumindest Regale). Also werden die Koffer auf dem Fußboden ausgebreitet.. Die Zimmer verfügen über keinerlei Balkone, das Hotel besitzt auch keine Terasse. Für eine Entspannung hat man die Wahl zwischen praller Sonne am Strand, Bett oder dem, sehr spartanisch ausgestatteten Restaurant. Bei unserer Buchung über Expedia kam es versehentlich zu einer falschen Terminierung, statt 21. 08. wurde der 21.02. als Anreisetag gebucht (Fehlerursache nicht mehr feststellbar). Entdeckt haben wir den Fehler erst, als das Geld vom Konto abgebucht wurde. So haben wir das Zimmer für den 21.08.noch einmal reservieren und auch bezahlen müssen in der Hoffnung, das wir zumindest ein Teil des Geldes für den "Nichtaufenthalt" erhalten. Fehlanzeige! Der Hotelbesitzer behauptete, ohne Expediazustimmung kann er nichts machen -eine gatte Lüge!

Séjour hors saison.nous étions 4 au maximum dans l'hotel. Hotel bien situé sur une plage agréable. Pas de restauration à cette époque. Patron trés serviable et gentil. Petit déjeuner correcte ,pas trés copieux. Chambre assez grande. Un peu cher à mon avis pour la saison.

海を眺めてのんびりしたいホテル
西表は初めてだったが、浦内川観光を考えてこのホテルにきめました、宿泊料金等安かったので、最初はあまり期待せずに行きましたが、部屋も期待以上、不要な設備はないし、部屋や共有スペースからの眺めが素敵でとても気に入りました。ビーチ、海も独り占め、次はロングスティで来たい。尚、レンタル自転車は小さめで、すこし疲れました、次は自分でCRC５５６を持参して整備します。帰ってきてすぐにまた行きたくなるホテルでした。

Right on the beach, really quiet place
Lovely stay, really quiet area, a little isolated and with very few people around. The staff are very nice and the food is good. They even take you to the port for free. You can do some activities around.

探し辛い場所にあるけど良いホテルです
港から遠く、民家の入り組んだ場所にある為、自らレンタカーで向かうのは結構大変です。看板等も少ないので、迷う可能性大。ですが、ホテルのロビーからすぐ海なのでロケーションは良いです。部屋は割と小さめですが、エアコンもあり、宿代を考えたら十分納得のいく部屋でした。ホテルの方はとても親切で、良くしてくれました。とても感謝しています。

☆ロケーションが最高 目の前がビーチ。部屋からも夕日が見える素晴らしいロケーション ☆清潔感のある部屋 設備が最新という感じではないが、丁寧に住まれた家を思わせる掃除が行き届いた清潔感のあるアジアンテイストのお部屋。 ☆インターナショナルな雰囲気 宿泊客は外国人が多く、国籍も様々なよう。思い思いにくつろぐ様子に、宿の居心地のよさを感じた。 ☆スタッフが親切 ビーチの砂で通路を汚してしまっても嫌な顔一つせず、帰りも車を最後まで見送ってくださいました。ありがとうございました！

気楽にのんびりできる宿

Magnifique !!! Séjour d'une nuit où nous devions être les seuls d'ailleurs, et donc qui nous a vraiment fait l'impression que l'hôtel nous appartenait. Les deux propriétaires étaient aux petits soins pour nous et le cadre est splendide avec plage privée. Les chambres très bien et confortables. Parfait !

何もない
ホテルズドットコムのサイトでは、レストランありとなってますが、予約しないと食事できません。まわりには一軒の居酒屋があるだけです。 従業員の愛想はいいですが、ホテルだと思って泊まると後悔します。 もう一つ。ホテルの場所がわからず、ホテルズドットコムに問い合わせたら、繋がらない電話番号を教えられました。そういう経験も含めて、印象は悪いです。
