"4 stars feels like a stretch as a hotel class, but I very much enjoyed this stay considering its price and the size of the room. I will say that the whole building has a very old vibe to it that Lailai is a part of and doesn't really hide, so it doesn't feel as clean as one may expect from a "4 star". Staff are super friendly though and the free gym access is an amazing perk."

"The hotel was very nice and clean and very modern feeling. It was a bit far away and remote from the city center of Taichung, so there isn’t a whole lot to do around the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very nice and accommodating in terms of holding our luggage, but unfortunately the night I was there, there wifi didn’t work and the TV also didn’t have any channels working. I did address it with the staff, but unfortunately they were not able to fix it for that day."

"The room was spacious, and the bathroom was especially nice. The room was clean overall, although there was still some dust in less visible areas, such as around the TV frame and in the bathroom. The breakfast was great, with different items available each day. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I also liked that there is a night market nearby, so it was easy to find local food in the evening. One thing I found inconvenient was the operating hours of some of the amenities, such as the gym. For travelers, the hours aren't particularly practical since we usually go out sightseeing in the morning and return to the hotel in the evening. It would be nice if the facilities were available later at night. There is only one washer and one dryer inside the hotel, which can be inconvenient when there are several guests who need to use them. However, there is a laundromat right across the street, which is a convenient alternative. The location was also a little inconvenient for getting around Taichung, especially when visiting attractions farther from the city center. However, I think this may be more related to Taichung’s overall public transportation system than the hotel itself. The late check-in time was also a little inconvenient, especially if you arrive in Taichung earlier in the day. Overall, it was a good stay with spacious rooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast, but the amenity operating hours and laundry facilities could be improved to better suit traveler."

"This villa is absolutely excellent! Both the host and hostess were incredibly warm and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was healthy, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, and the villa was kept in impeccable condition. The highlight of our trip was the early-morning bike ride with our wonderful host, Wayne Wang. He took us to some of the most beautiful and scenic spots around Sun Moon Lake and even captured incredible photos for us along the way. The scenery was truly breathtaking! Many thanks to Wayne and his wife for their outstanding hospitality. We had a truly fantastic stay and will cherish the wonderful memories we made here. Highly recommended!"
