This is a comfortable and new hotel. Very close to the train station. Parking is free and easy. It has a welcoming and relax feel. You can miss the weekend happy hour 20:30-21:30 since it does not offer much although many people seemed to have high expectations. Breakfast options are limited. Our phone did not work the whole time during our 4-day stay. Nobody seems to be in charge of the request. Walking distance. Also many car/scooter rentals around too. Hotel ambiance was great with the Taitung hot air balloon festival theme. Most impressed with the staff at breakfast - we were late coming to breakfast arriving only at 10am (breakfast timing was 7-10am). Staff were flexible as they have not cleared the buffet yet. Asked us to quickly take what we needed so that we can still have breakfast. We did! Convenient on site parking with thoughtful nearby bathroom setup and bicycle parking. Room is bright and cute, overlooking the train station which is just lovely but not noisy. There is a work station to work, but wish there was a comfy chair to read. Lighting is nice but on the dim side, had a hard time shaving since it was hard to see. Water pipe is very loud, you can hear nearby guests use their bathrooms. Warm toilet seat is great, but beeps each time when someone sits on it which is a problem in the middle of the night when your partner is sleeping. Breakfast buffet offers many choices, however many items are not hot or even warm, including the coffee. (This is based on a westerner's point of view). But overall, pleasant stay.
