I chose Raise this time because I was taking a King Bus from Taipei and the hotel is a mere 2mn walk from the stop Taichung 2nd Senior High School (台中二中). Quick check-in, nice staff. The room with city view was good and quite spacious, and although the shower is not separated (wet floor in whole bathroom after shower) and the washbasin a bit small for my taste, I have no complaint since I paid a really interesting rate. There's a 7-Eleven store next to the lobby, and a good night eatery (永和豆漿) just outside.
