It has really good reviews for some reason, probably because most of the guests are young people who just want the cheapest option. They have glowing lights on the wall in the lobby and people take Polaroid photos there and the staff put them on the wall. This seems to be a big reason why people like the hotel. Apart from the lobby, the entire hotel is extremely plain and unremarkable. It felt more like staying in a hostel or a college dorm. It is just clean enough to be habitable. If you ask for anything, such as an extra blanket, they charge you extra. I have never heard of that before. I have stayed in so many hotels and they are always very willing and happy to help you out. An extra blanket has never been a big deal. This hotel has so many rules saying that if you do something wrong they will charge you for it. One of these rules is that you cannot flush the toilet paper. Taiwan used to have a bad sewer system and people had to put toilet paper in trash cans, causing all Taiwan bathrooms to smell awful. Taiwan has fixed their sewer system, so this is no longer a problem. However, the hotel insists that you don't flush the toilet paper because their toilet paper is not dissolvable. And they tell you that if you stuff up the toilet, they will charge you 500NT to fix it. Everything in the hotel is fine cheapest and lowest quality possible, and they take every opportunity to charge you more for every little thing.
