El Dorado County | VHR 073576| TOT #1605 | Max Occupancy is 8 - AT ALL TIMES | 3 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. County quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. Strict enforcement of occupancy during quiet hours.
County Rules As part of the Vacation Home Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 10pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time. Outdoor hot tubs cannot be used during quite hours.
Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night during the hours of 10pm and 7am, seven days a week.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.
Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel. Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.
Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.
Office Holiday Hours The TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Cozy stay for our family getaway. Nice spot that was pet and child friendly. Some of the furniture could use some updating but the location and view definitely made for a great stay.
Really WONDERFUL property! Exactly as described, or perhaps even undersold, as the lake and mountain view from the deck is just amazing! Looking forward to renting here again during another season as it snowed (loved it!) for a couple days, which meant we stayed cozy inside and watched the snowflakes fall.
Everything was great and beautiful. The location was perfect. The only thing was that some of the furniture was damaged and broken on arrival which we had to be cautious about.
View from the main living space is as great as it looks in the pictures. Beds are comfortable, deck is great, living room is cozy. Only downside is that all three downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom, but not that big of a deal. Host is informative and responsive. Would definitely stay again!
Every negative thing you could imagine about this place would be negated by the most amazing views of the lake. It is very homey/cozy and has all of the amenities needed for a long/short term stay. The bathroom downstairs could use some updating but other than that, the stay was beyond awesome! Location is spot on - near burger and pizza spots as well as well as the Tahoma market. Can't be beat - hope to return soon!!!
My family of 6 absolutely loved this home. It was the perfect house with breathtaking views of Meeks Bay and Lake Tahoe. The home had everything needed for our stay of the week. We did need to call in requesting wine glasses as there were none available, but the property manager dropped them off promptly! The fans were a big help during the hot afternoons, and the sunsets were just spectacular. Five stars from our group!
Waking up, after arriving near midnight the night before, to the AMAZING view literally took our breath away! The views deserve way more than 5 stars. The kitchen and living room area with floor to ceiling windows also let us take in the spectacular view! The kitchen was well equipped and all the bedrooms were very comfortable. When we come back to Tahoe, we will definitely book here again! We did not want to leave!
Overall, very good.
There were some issues with the plumbing making very loud noises at night, spoke with property manager, said they would look into it.
Other than that, a very beautiful property, great location, walking distance to Meeks bay.
The home was very cozy and had all the supplies and amenities to host a family for a week's vacation. The views are magnificent and the location of nearby shops and restaurants is perfect. This place is just out of the way for a great family retreat but still close enough to partake in everything Lake Tahoe offers. My only complaint is that the door and window screens need replacing as they let in mosquitos and flies. Some of the windows didn't open and since there is no AC it would get rather warm during the day. Otherwise, it's a great home to relax and enjoy family time.
Amazing Views! Great property management experience
The views from this home are absolutely incredible. As stated in past reviews, the furnishings could use some updating. Most of our time was spent away from the house and on the deck enjoying those views. The house has great space and is very well equipped.
I would like to mention that our experience with the property management company Tahoe Time was wonderful. They were very responsive and continued to communicate very efficiently leading up to and during our stay with any questions or needs that we had. I would definitely recommend renting from them again. Thank you!
The view was absolutely magnificent and the deck was great. I did think they should upgrade the kitchen. There were no platters, many dishes and cups were cracked, no complete set of the very basics like measuring spoons and measuring cups. They had four mismatched wine glasses in a four bedroom home. Also two blinds did not work at all, several fans were broken and it was 90 degrees in the house during the day. There were cobwebs everywhere inside and outside the house. The NBQ was filthy and it took a long time to clean it. The rug needed shampooing and the interior needed painting.
Our recent stay in Tahoe was nothing short of magical, and I couldn't wait to share our experience. Nestled amidst nature's grandeur, the house we stayed in was a true gem. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by its beauty, and the breathtaking views left us in awe.
Each morning was a gift as we were gently awakened by the mesmerizing sunrise, painting the sky with hues of gold and pink. Stepping onto the expansive deck, we were met with a panorama that seemed straight out of a painting. It was the perfect spot for savoring quiet moments, basking in the warmth of the sun, and indulging in a bit of birdwatching.
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the sense of peace and togetherness we experienced as a family. Whether we were gathered around the fireplace, sharing stories, or simply admiring the beauty around us, every moment felt like a cherished memory in the making.
In essence, our time in Tahoe was a serene retreat, filled with beauty, tranquility, and the warmth of family bonds. It's a place we'll hold dear in our hearts, and we're already counting down the days until we can return.
The house has an amazing view. It’s a beautiful home. We can just stay in the house all day and feel rested. I have everything I need to cook our meals. I love the clean white bedsheets and white towels. The beds and pillows are decent. We enjoyed watching the DVD movie collections at night. It’s in the very good neighborhood close to places we went to, the hikes and trails up the mountain. The area wasn’t crowded, we went Monday to Thursday. Pets allowed, thank you! We took our doodle to Monkey Rock, Cascade Falls and Kaspian beach. There is no backyard so we had to walk the dog day and night to do his routine and clean up after him. There is no covered parking. Park on the left side of the house on the road.
I’m only bothered that the plates and bowls have cracks and chips but this is a very easy fix. Overall we had the best experience and would love to be back.
Great View - Needs Cleaning Attention and Home Touches
The house was perfectly located for our trip to hike Desolation Wilderness. The view is absolutely spectacular.
All necessary features are provided, although for those who expect a TV in the master bedroom, there is only one TV and that is in the main living area and positioned awkwardly for viewing.
The bed and linens were comfortable. Lots of hot water and water pressure was good (I care about my showers!).
The downside: There were a ton of spider webs all over. I know that we are in Tahoe, and that there are spiders, but this was an amount that does not happen with regular thorough cleanings. Even the shower stall had very significant cobwebs in the windowsill right next to where you stand. The cobwebs were truly all over, including webs I had to wipe off just to get into the master bed (strung from the wall, across the lamp, over the bed, to the window).
And...TONS of big, black spiders were popping up constantly. In the bathroom, master bedroom, kitchen. They say they do pest control as best as possible, but having stayed in Tahoe countless times in the last 40 years, I have NEVER seen this many spiders. This may be a byproduct of not cleaning thoroughly enough throughout the house. The fireplace still had a half burned log and ashes.
There is also no attention to decorations. The master bedroom had nothing on the walls except black marks/scrapes. Ditto downstairs. Not very homey.
Still - worth the view every morning/night!
Overall very good stay. The view is amazing and we had a good time. Some of the furniture is a bit dated and also we found some bedding stains, otherwised wouldve given 5 stars
This cabin makes time together with family more special, with the beautiful view of the lake time stands still. The Kitchen has everything you need and being pet friendly the whole family can come. Check in and Check out are easy. Prior to my visit all my questions were answered timely.
