She unapologetically told us this would not stop and then after 15 minutes yelled across the dock to us that the noise would subside. 5 minutes later, the grinding noises were replaced by repetitive loud hammer sounds. This lasted from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. During that time, we decided to find an alternative accommodation as our goal to coming to Tahiti was to relax and this hotel was ruining our vacation. Later that day after we had already left, we received another message from the manager that the construction was supposed to be have been completed before our arrival but they had a date change and were sorry. The lack of transparency prior to booking, along with the lack of transparency when we arrived was unacceptable. Furthermore, the staff was not at all proactive and only did not try to resolve or make the situation better. No offer of a refund or complimentary activity - nothing. Overall, the lack of hospitality was absolutely baffling. Along with these issues, the price per night was way too high for the age of the property, poor quality of food, and dirty indoor and outdoor spaces and furniture.
