This is a great location with an elevator for those with larger suitcases headed on a cruise. The cruise port is an easy walk. Wonderful rooms and great breakfast.

I tried to book the Ibis hotel but it was sold out. This hotel was my second choice and turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Great location, sitting on a hill with beautiful view of Coimbra, nice room and beds, and a great complementary buffet breakfast. Truly a gem.

"We stayed in the castle 3 years ago and this was the only place on our return trip to Portugal that we had to revisit. We stayed in a suite this time and loved it. Bed is a bit short though. Breakfast is included and is totally worth it. Plenty of selections."
