Great hotel with a great location!

Posted 21-Apr-2017
Cons: Their TV's are a bit small and out of date, also the bathrooms feel small and outdated compared to other hotels of this caliber.
Lovely hotel that allows dogs. Very modern and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful!

Love the layout of the entire hotel. The rooms are really nice and spacious. Comfy and cute. Love the lounge area near the lobby. The restaurant was nice too.

comfortable hotel in great location

Posted 10-Apr-2017
Pros: Location and comfort.
Cons: Parking is too high priced
Location: Tacoma Art Museum, Pacific Grill restaurant, streetcar and downtown.
This modern hotel is located just blocks from the downtown, including the Art Museum - most convenient. Staff friendly and helpful and the bed and room spotless and comfortable.

Pros: View of Mount Rainier
Cons: Fix the hot tub or quit promising it. Ice maker on 20th floor was not working Friday. Was on Saturday
Location: Museums. Point Defiance
Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Hot tub/jacuzzi advertised. When I asked I was told it was broken with no plans to fix it. Restaurant was quite good on Saturday, too busy on Sunday

Nice, but water is lukewarm

Posted 07-Apr-2017
I enjoyed my stay, bed was extremely comfortable, staff was really nice & helpful! My only gripe was the lukewarm water in the rooms & my Kobe beef burger from room service was extremely salty. Overall I enjoyed it, but it's not much different than your run of the mill hotel.

Very nice ... but!

Posted 03-Apr-2017
Pros: Big room; great views; convenient location; beautiful glass art.
We love this hotel; rooms are very nice and the glass art is astounding. But the bedside clock was still on standard time and wasn't changed despite request; the phone blinked the entire time with a text message that only hotel could turn off, which they didn't despite request; elevators were very slow to get to floor despite having 3 of them; and only body not hair shampoo. We'll go back but ...

Nice place, questionabl3 staff.

Left a dress there, and they "can't find it." They refused to refund us $35 for the dress, even though the room cost was 4-5x that.

Arty convention center hotel with comfy beds

Posted 23-Mar-2017
Pros: The beds, the food, the hot water, the bar.
Cons: Nonabsorbent towels, strong cologne smell, exercise equipment broken, lightbulb out in room, room service doesn't really start when they say it does.
Location: Does anyone go to Tacoma for fun? I stayed for work.
I wasn't impressed when I checked in. I was annoyed to have to pay $16 for self-parking ($20 for valet), I had to wait a good 15 minutes at the front desk to check in, and the whole lobby smells like cheap cologne, intentionally. When I tried to order room service for 6:00 am the next morning, which the menu claims is an option, they told me the first trays are delivered between 6:15 and 6:30. I had to leave by 6:30, so no breakfast for me. One of my lightbulbs was burned out, and two of the seven pieces of exercise equipment (both treadmills) in the fitness center were out of order. They saw my initial negative review and apologized, but didn't so much as change the lightbulb. Luckily the hotel grew on me over the two nights I was there. The beds are very comfortable and the food is excellent. The bar is a lovely place to hang out, with lots of comfortable seating and a very cool fireplace. Room service on my second morning was a treat, with excellent food and coffee. I am staying there again next week, so I clearly didn't hate it.

Not a 4-half stars hotel

Posted 20-Mar-2017
Pros: Great choice of tea or coffee in room.
Cons: Parking Fee is too expensive
Location: UW Tacoma, Museum of Glass
Although it is a nice hotel, lack of facility and service made this this hotel a 3 stars or 3 stars half max. No swimming pool, expensive parking. Limited in-room services. Also, it closes to railway, and if the train honks, you cannot sleep at night.
