The room was small but extremely comfortable with incredible views. The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was full of antiques and amazing guest areas. The restaurant was in a room with stunning views and the food was excellent. Breakfast had good variety. We loved it! The only draw backs were the roadworks outside and the fact that there is no lift. Window are double glazed so it was still very quiet in our road facing room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room is elegant. Food privey but good quality. The restaurant is great and the chef outdid themselves with a wonderful dinner. The staff were excellent and so polite. The bar is fabulous for pre and after dinner cocktails. The valley view room was a little small, nicely renovated but the bathroom needs an extra shelf for your toiletries. The property makes full use of these, from the rooms, dining room and lounge. Its an odd collection of buildings joined together, with many indications of its heyday which is being largely restored.
