Wood fire needs attention. We did light this but this liberated smoke into the living area. It has a lovely outlook and is well appointed. The house was clean and the fixtures are well kept (except for the BBQ on the back deck which is in a poor state). I stayed there with a group of 7 adults for 2 nights when attending an event in Katoomba and it worked well. Kids loved the puzzles and card games plus there is a DVD player for movies. Down side - there was a lot of spiders at night on the deck and there is a cranky neighbour who yells even though we were just talking at 9pm and had no loud music on. Our family of 5 plus my mother and father in law had plenty of space and were very comfortable. Just up the street from the scenic railway and 2 minutes from the main street of katoomba.
