After being woken up in bed by a 4+ cm cockroach crawling on my arm, which was not my first bug incident in the room, I decided to leave early and move to a real hotel close to the airport as I was going on a long haul flight the day after and didn't want to think about what kind of bug that would wake me up next. I know bugs etc are part of the Australian fauna and to be expected, but the only close encounters I had with bugs in my bed during my 3.5 weeks in Australia at 15+ accommodations, including in the rainforest in the north of Australia, was here in Bondi so maybe I was just unlucky or very lucky during my trip. Each room is individual and the feel is like home. We are now on our third stay and would definately return to this amazing place. It is centrally located and a few seconds onto Bondi Beach. It is very clean and comfortable and spacious. This room (Wombat room 3) has a separate entrance and a small kitchen facility which is really useful for making a hot drink, fridge and microwave. The garden is really nice and we have sat outside with our breakfast I. The sun in August (winter here!). Would definately recommend. The staff have been great and really friendly.
