The hotel is only a 30 minute car ride to the airport and is centrally located in Surat Thani. The hospital is nearby so you are a close walk away from plenty of street food vendors and a 711\. I didn't see many restaurants when I was there but it was a Sunday so they could have been closed. The staff are friendly and the room was very clean. The neighborhood is not food for walking around at night as it did not feel safe and was poorly lit. The staff does not speak english almost at all so not much of a point to ask questions. Day market around hotel was kind of cool though. Ein riesiges Zimmer mit großen Betten. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und man hat sich von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Die Klimaanlage war sehr leise und tadellos. Weiterhin ein riesiger Kühlschrank mit freiem Wasser. Wir hatten einen Balkon und einen tollen Sessel. Für den Preis unschlagbar! Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen. The only problem is distance from downtown. (Go out to the main and flag down a tuk-tuk. Pay about 30-40 baht to the center of town.) Staff, like staff at most Thai 3-star hotels, would rather not have to deal with guests in Englis, and don't offer help. If asked, they will try to comply, but there is only so much they can do. Great clean rooms for a couple of nights before going to the islands.
