Woods that cradle the house on three sides and the creek steps away from our screened porch offer you the perfect chance to truly relax and unwind, enjoying the sounds of the Eastatoee Creek rushing over the rocks (as you sleep in one of the three newly renovated bedrooms), will provide you with one of the best night's sleep. Enjoy the morning with a freshly brewed cup of coffee on the porch, where hummingbirds gather for breakfast and the often visiting deer and wild turkey. After breakfast, keep up with your family and friends on our internet. Take a short walk to the famous, spectacular Twin Falls, spend the day splashing in the creek, or read in our lounger. Long Shoals Roadside Park is only a 10-minute drive from the cabin on scenic Hwy. 11, where you can enjoy sliding down a large rock into a cool mountain stream. Take a night-trip trout fishing on Lake Jocassee with James Couch, or take the family on a spectacular day trip only 6.2 miles from the cabin. Travel to picturesque Cashiers or Highlands, known for their boutique shops, or take the kids rafting on the Nantahala river, horseback riding at the Pisgah Forest Riding Stables, or a scenic steam train ride through the Great smokies mountains in Bryson City. Sports fans can conveniently travel to "root on" either the Clemson Tigers or Furman Paladins to a victory! In the fall, drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the beautiful foliage, or ski Sapphire or Maggie Valley in the winter. This property and house were perfect for a quiet family vacation. The kids loved the creek and the swing, and there was plenty of good dry wood for evening fires. Also the only rental I’ve stayed at with properly sharp kitchen knives!

Very welcoming, always responsive. We had a wonderful stay here. The peaceful woods, the sound of the creek, and the winding mountain roads made this a truly special getaway. Something nice about going outdoors early morning and not hearing anything but critters. We loved watching the wildlife and just slowing down for a few days. It was exactly what we needed.

Excellent quick vacation

Just a fabulous place to visit! We loved the creek, the fire pit, the fireplace, the cornhole boards…really everything! Wonderful location for nearby hiking excursions as well. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our stay!

We had a great time on our 2 night trip. Wsh we had more time there. The cabin was so clean and homey. Loved the creek outside and the waterfalls that are within walking distance were fabulous!We didnt have any issues while we were there so we didn't have to contact the host during the trip. But we did text before we got there and the host was very quick to respond. All in all we had a WONDERFUL experience there and would definitely go back.

The cabin was very nice. Location to the kayaking and boating in the area was easy to access. It is a nice and secluded spot. We would definitely return!

Great cottage!

We loved The Cottage and the surrounding area. Very quiet and peaceful. The creek was beautiful and we loved sitting by the creek and reading. We made a trip to Bravard NC, short ride from the cottage. It is a pretty little town and worth visiting. Loved our stay!!

We really enjoyed staying here, it is a great place. The location is beautiful, in the country, the creek running by, we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch, roast marshmallows/hot dogs on the fire, and fishing in the creek (which was successful, but mostly small suckers). The house was spacious for the 5 of us. The home reminded me of my grandmothers house. We walked from the house to the waterfall which was lovely and spent the day at Lake Jocassee. Would stay here again.

Picturesque secluded river/waterfall getaway

Summer retreat

What an excellent retreat this home is. We spent most of the time on the screen porch listening to the creek. It's a short hike to an amazing waterfall. The kids enjoyed splashing in the creek. Highly recommend.

Home away from home

The property description was an understatement. The place was amazing and Melanie was more than accommodating. The amenities truly made us feel at home. Between the sound of the running creek, the fireplace, and the overall landscape we did not want to leave. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again next time we are in the area.

Beautiful rustic home, sprawling property, plenty of amenities, and creekside access. Wonderful mountain-esque retreat with great communication with the host. Our family truely enjoyed our stay. Full disclosure, second bathroom was in a separate building with a washer/ dryer and TV, which my husband absolutely loved.

I can’t say enough good things about this sweet cottage. The creek running through the front yard, the fire pit, the fact that it was the owner’s grandparents and there were signs everywhere of many years of love lived out here.. butterflies, hummingbirds and the sounds of rushing water.. I didn’t want to leave! My family loved it :) and our LSU Tigers beat Clemson so.. it was a win/win

Cute house and wonderful location.

Picture perfect home next to a mountain brook. The home is well appointed and maintained. We had very pleasant evenings in the nicely landscaped yard with a fire pit and room for the kids to play. The location is really, really nice. While the home is quiet and remote it is also centrally located when it comes to the area attractions (lakes, parks, etc). In addition to the hiking, we spent time on Lake Jocassee, went horseback riding and zip lining. The Twin Falls waterfall is a 15 minute walk from the house. 100% recommend and hope to return one day.

So relaxing!

This was our second stay and it was just as great as we remembered! It was peaceful and relaxing. It was a perfect short getaway. Once again we walked up to the Twin Falls. The running water in front of the cabin was enjoyed while sitting out on the front porch. Everything worked perfectly...no issues whatsoever. We were even able to check in an hour earlier after we contacted Melanie. We look forward to coming again!

Relaxed Enchanted Getaway

You haven't seen all the Beauty South Carolina has to offer till you stay here! What an incredible, relaxed vibes with endless beautiful sceneries starting with the cozy, comfy cottage which I absolutely loved the wilderness style decor and Bear decor. The property gives an enchanted feel with all the lush green scenery and steps away from the creek which the creek offers a relaxing sound when sleeping with the window open. The property offers so much for adults and children to enjoy, have fun or relax without having to leave. A bigger plus besides being pet friendly, is the short walk distance to the beautiful twin waterfalls and many more within short driving distance. I would 100% recommend this amazing getaway to couples, families or friends outings.

I can’t say enough about this property! Everything was just as the listing described but the photos don’t do it justice. The creek is so close to the house! We drove up to the parking area for Twin Falls which is very close and enjoyed the beauty of the falls. We relaxed in the creek for hours and enjoyed the screened in porch at night. All of the solar lights around the property are so pretty at night. Home was super clean and the creekside bedroom bed was super comfortable! Definitely will revisit in the fall!

Best Romantic Birthday Weekend

My husband planned the best weekend for us, the location next to the creek is so incredibly peaceful. We walked to the nearby Twin Falls with a picnic to spend a couple hours, the hike is short-ish and the views are spectacular. We brought all of our food and only left once to visit Brevard. The cabin had all of the essentials, bed was comfortable and showers hot. This location is remote enough that we encountered exactly one other human during our stay ( on the trail), other than visiting Brevard. December is mild and it was a great visit, I already want to go back in the summer and play in the creek. This cabin is a gem! Thank you!!!!!!

Creekside Cottage Hidden Gem

My wife, two boys, daughter, and myself stayed at this wonderful hidden gem tucked away in the South Carolina hills. To start off the drive to the cottage is an adventurous windy road canopied by trees. The cottage is right next to a relaxing creek. There are several areas to enjoy nature and listen to the water. There is a very cool waterfall just a short walk from the cabin. In the evening we watched 5 deer walk through the property. Check in was extremely simple and our host answered any questions we had very quickly. We stopped and grabbed groceries before going to the cottage. This was suggested by our host and I really appreciated it since the closest grocery store is in town about 30 mi minutes away. I highly recommend the Creekside Cottage and would definitely stay again.

Outdoor joy

This was a delightful stay, surrounded by lush green and a creek right along the house. The creek is what I selected our property on and it didn’t disappoint. We tried fishing (no luck), we just sat by it and read a book, talked, we brought tubes (green ones “weekend” at the dollar general) and that was the best fun! Floating and hobbling along the little rapids while enjoying the green view above, The cabin was super cozy and had everything we wished for. Beds were comfy, sleeping by the sound of the creek was wonderful. The decor was fun and really made it the cabin in the woods. We also made a campfire with s’mores and played hide and seek, kids and adults alike. Twin falls is a short walk and was equally gorgeous, we swam in the little natural pool there. We did go zip lining at Upstate Ziplining which was amazing! To wrap it up: all was above par and we enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. Thank you Melanie!
