No air!

Posted 23-Jul-2016
We used Expedia.com to reserve a 1st floor room that, unknowing to us, was having its a/c repaired. We were not made aware of this fact by Expedia OR the hotel staff. By the time we figured out the a/c wasn't working, it was too late to get another room (Expedia had advertised it as the last room). The window was open to allow the outside air in, but the screen was barely hanging in there. Definitely a security no-no! Then at 6 the next morning someone in the adjoining room started pounding on the wall up against our bed, waking us up! Complained to the desk & she said no one was in that room!! Was not convincing me any. Go to another hotel when you in this area. You'll enjoy the area more.

NOT La Quinta quality

Posted 19-Jul-2016
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Finish the renovation.
Location: The outlet stores are nearby and plenty of fast food joints. Close to the highway so you can make a quick getaway.
WE booked five rooms for a high school baseball team and wanted to have the rooms at least on the same floor but that did not happen. The shower curtain in my room was about to fall off and would not close properly so when you took a shower the floor would get wet. Two of the chaperones checked in early and when I asked if anybody else in our party checked in they did not know and couldn't find who checked in by their records. I have a hearing aid and even after I told her this she still did not speak up, very frustrating. The tile in the swimming pool is very slippery, looks like tile you would put in a kitchen or patio. They are renovating and it shows. The bed was like sleeping on a box spring with sheets on them.

A nice night's stay

Posted 03-Jul-2016
Pros: The location was convenient and the lobby and breakfast area is very nice.
Cons: The breakfast was average. Had hot scrambled eggs and sausage at several other motels we stayed at. Only had hard-boiled eggs available here.
Location: Nice location right off the main highway. We had a nice dinner and good micro-brews at the brewery / restaurant within walking distance.
Our night at La Quinta Inn & Suites Silverthorne was the first night of a five day motorcycle trip through Colorado. The facility was very nice. The two ladies checking in guests were exceptional. Thanks!! The room was clean and comfortable, however we had some issues with the AC unit in the room. Other than that, everything was fine. The motel allows motorcycles to park beneath the porte-cochere which is really nice. I would recommend this motel for a nice nights stay in Silverthorne.

Good location tired property

Posted 01-Jul-2016
Pros: The location was good as it was near town center in Silverthorne.
Cons: Having owned a portfolio of limited service hotels this property looked as though it needed a $3-$5million dollar property improvement.
I stayed at this hotel in summer and the AC wasn't working Room was hot and requested a move staff was very accommodating and moved me to another room. Ac in that room was not much better. opened window in room 200 and window frame piece came off in my hand. Screen was outside window on roof below. Linens were nearing end of useful life and a pillow cover had a brownish stain.

Very small bathroom, disinterested staff

Posted 23-Jun-2016
The bathroom was very small and rundown, although it was clean. In the breakfast room there was no attendant. The garbage was overflowing so I told the young woman at the front desk. She told me to find a maid and tell her. Not impressed!

Sheets had not been washed

Posted 10-Jun-2016
Cons: Clean the sheets
We got four different rooms, 3 out of the 4 had sheets on the beds that had not been washed. When we complained to the front desk they told us to go away.
