Disappointment

Comfortable and Affordable

If you are just looking for a night in the mountains while skiing, this is a great place to get a good night's rest. Bed was very comfortable. Showers and bathrooms are in serious need of updating. Was it clean? Sure. Was it Nice? No. The faucet fixture was old and hard to operate, there was not proper drainage for the water. Looks like the hotel ran out of money during their update and had to draw the line at carpet and furniture. The entire ceiling of the 5th floor was exposed. Half of the staff was friendly. When we checked in, there was an employee on the phone who was talking quite rudely to a customer, and then proceeded to bash the customer in front of us when he hung up. VERY unprofessional. Staff in the morning was exceptionally nice. I'd stay again for the price. Maybe I would get lucky and get a better bathroom. :)

Wonderful hotel, nice rooms, great tourist area

Pros: Clean and comfortable room with nice bed
Cons: College aged staff in shorts and t-shirts manning desk. Slow and not professional appearance or acting. Not like La Quinta standards.
Location: Restaurants, outlet stores, lake nearby
Room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Lots of amenities. Nice hotel with gift shop and good layout. Breakfast provided was hot, tasty and kept stocked. Wifi worked good. Very good stay. Only down side was staff was marginal. Great location next to restaurants, outlet stores, and other shopping.

Location: Walked to a near-by Micro-brewery/restaurant for dinner.
Very pet friendly. Several rooms on the floor had a dog or dogs with them. There was maintenance and remodeling going on at the time and had a back-up A/C for the room. Staff was fine, breakfast has a good selection and was very nice.

Good location

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything
We expected this to be an ok hotel. It was not ok. Very dusty. Thick dust on the air conditioner hose leading to the wall and on the unit itself. The couch was so worn and dirty we wouldn't sit on it. The mattress was old. The whole place was discussing, and in need of a refurbishment. Will never stay there again.

Little Things Not There/Didn't Work

Pros: Nothing in particular.
Cons: Get some decent lighting in the bathroom. Make certain the room has waste cans, stationary, and a phone book.
Location: Location was very good.
Room was cramped in the entry. Bathroom lighting unacceptable. Television remote worked for 5-10 minutes, then froze. Nothing worked; ON/OFF, change channel, volume. Front desk was of no help whatsoever. Said the remote probably needed batteries and they didn't have any. I asked if I turned it off by unplugging everything was ok; was told they'd rather I didn't!! A couple of hours later and employee stopped by and gave us a remote that worked. Also, there was no waste basket in the room, no pen or stationary.

Not the cleanest place

Lobby and common areas was not kept clean. We found trash on the floor Monday morning still there from Saturday afternoon. It was explained to us as understaffed. Staff had time to stand at main entry and smoke cigarettes, but not enough time to run a vacuum for 10 minutes.

We won't go back

We have stayed at this hotel before, but we won't go back, we had many issues with our room, and poor customer service, This hotel has really gone down hill over the last year
