Pros: price, good breakfast variety
The room is basic but very clean and comfortable. Great location with easy access to Silverthorne outlets and quick drive to Keystone.

Close to snowboarding

Posted 18-Jan-2017
Easy place to get to. Close to a basin close to Keystone. Breckenridge. also copper or Vail is a little bit of a ride but definitely not out of the question. Breakfast and rooms were fine. And restaurants were very close.

Demolish the building and start over!!!!!

Posted 16-Jan-2017
So glad that asked. Check-in went very smooth, after that it was all down hill. The first night that we were there the toilet stopped up. To make the toilet flush you had to hold the handle down until the water left the toilet bowl. If you did not do this any paper or other "stuff" would stop in the process of leaving thus stopping up the toilet. We called the front desk and asked for help with un-stopping the toilet and were told that we could come and get the plunger. Since we were ready for bed we just left it until the next morning. At which time I picked up the plunger in a plastic bag with water, toilet water I assume. This happened a second time on Saturday night. The first night that we were there it was 65 degrees in our room. We tried turning on the mechanical unit under the window and there was no electrical power to it. We called the front desk and was told that the window unit did not work. Why would they not have the unit repaired or labeled as "Broken", or at least have informed us upon check-in. We were told to use the thermostat on the wall. We were given specific directions by the guy at the front desk on how to make the heat come on. We followed the directions and the room never heated above 66 degrees. On Friday morning I took my complaint to the front desk and was told that the roof top unit might/could be froze up. They were going to check on it. We left for the day. I need more space to complete my survey. We were that only Expedia could help us!

The worst experience of my life! Fire Molly !!

Posted 12-Jan-2017
Molly is by far the most unprofessional supervisor this hotel has ever hired!! She needs to go!! She yells at customers and is rude and bitter!! She gives this hotel a bad name!! Don't ever book here because the GM says he'll never get rid of her!!

Decent hotel close to Keystone

Posted 11-Jan-2017
Everything about my stay was nice. A ski shop is conveniently located in lobby for rentals and other miscellaneous ski/board needs. My only issue with the hotel was the continental breakfast, it was terrible. The only good part of breakfast was the waffle maker.

Old and showing its age.

Posted 10-Jan-2017
Pros: Good location
Cons: Beds were hard and uncomfortable, toilet seat was broken. Room was 61F and took 12 hrs to warm up to 70F
Convenient location to the 4 ski areas but the place is outdated. Old Chicago used to have a restaurant in the building but now they are gone. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom needed repair, and it took 12 hrs before the room was a comfortable temperature.

No heat, staff not willing to help...

Posted 08-Jan-2017
It was terrible room could only heat up to 65. Staff not willing to help. Email to manager and still waiting. For what they charge, you don't get much, plus dirty tub (hair) toilet loose, old feel, smells, etc Don't waste your money and stay next door at Luxury Inn. Same feel but at least cheaper.

Hotel is a bit run down and dingy. Room smelled of human sweat upon arrival. Someone came in and sprayed a chemical to try and mask the odor- had to sleep with window cracked (15 degrees out). House keeping did not get to room on second night. Said they were, "too busy." The only reason I gave this place two stars was the city- had a great time. Staying in a different hotel next trip.

valued stay

Posted 30-Dec-2016
Pros: There is a ski shop in the lobby. Very convenient for ski rental, at a very reasonable price. Breakfast is good too.
Cons: The ice machine on the 4th floor was broken.
Location: ski of course.
The location of the hotel is pretty good, close to the highway but very quiet. There are plenty of eateries and shops around. Just about the right distance to the ski resorts.
