Absolute perfect place for a vacation at the lake. Sandy beach with beach toys, kayaks and a paddle board, made for lots of lake fun. There is good size lawn for running around with a soccer ball or a game of bocce ball (we brought our own). The cabin is very nicely done with everything you need and a view of the lake from multiple rooms. We spent time on the deck, hung out in the lovely screen porch in the rain, and had campfires in the evening. Games, toys and books for the kids. Comfy couches and beds. We didn't want to leave! This place has everything you need. We packed extra lawn chairs for down by the water and to our surprise found lots of chairs in the shed! The kids loved all the lake toys and yard games. We had 3 families stay there. 5 adults and 4 kids It was so spacious and clean. We all said, "we wish this was our house" The location is beautiful and peaceful. It's only a 5 min drive from town. Moose lake has a great grocery store and gift shop. You can't catch lots of little sunnies right off the dock. The kids were so excited that they caught so many. We booked it again for next year but this time for longer! This was a family vacation with three generations ranging in age from 2-60 years. The cabin was just as described, with multiple areas for larger groups to gather, and enough spots to move to get some privacy. We spent lots of outdoor time on the deck or by the fire pit, and the firewood provided was plentiful. There were several grassy areas to play outdoor games, and the lake was clear and beautiful. I've spent many past summer weeks at Northern Wisconsin or Minnesota family lake cabins, and a good lake is important to me. This cabin is set on a larger, treed lot, back from the road, so it seems quite private. We rented a pontoon from the resort on the lake and spent two of our days swimming, floating and fishing. The lily pad provided by our hosts was great to have, as were all of the life jackets hanging in the boathouse. We also had a group go golfing at the Moose Lake Golf Club, just around the corner. This would not be a cabin for those who don't do stairs, as there is a decent set to get down to lake level. I would definitely recommend this cabin to those interested in the Northern Lake Vacation feel, who don't want to make the long, 3+ hour drive from the Twin Cities.
