She was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay as well. This has a nice large grassy area that our kids enjoyed. The cottage is well stocked and we felt at home here. The owners have literally thought of everything. There were 10 of us for a family vacation. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of door county but close enough to enjoy it all. We took the kayaks out, the water is shallow but we were still able to get out there and enjoy the water. Beds were comfortable! Plenty of room for all of us, we had a great time! Great cabin feel, water views, huge yard, and very private. The best part however is that this cabin is fully outfitted with all the essentials for the minute you get there and realize you may have forgot something. They had complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, coffee, condiments, and more than just one roll of toilet paper and one garbage bag! My daughter & I spent 4 days at Sawyer Harbor Retreat for a quiet, mid week getaway. It was absolutely perfect! We had everything we could ever want. Linens were luxurious & cozy. There was plenty of coffee & teas. The fireplace was perfect. It was so quiet & beautiful. The view was just so gorgeous. Arrival was simple, as was departure. Host is super well organized. Only visitors were a dozen turkeys passing through. Our family booked this property as a way to celebarte my Father in Law's 75th Birthday. We had a wonderful time, and the location was beautiful. We were a little suprised however that the home felt smaller than the photos led on, and there was an ongoing fruit fly issue from the time we arrived until departure. We had a great stay here in early August. A wonderful house that can sleep so many people! We loved the very-well stocked pantry that included plenty of K-cups for coffee, sugar, myriad spices, olive oil, aluminum foil, and much more. This is not the typically stingy rental-home pantry at all. Plus, the giant lawn that is perfect for football, soccer, Frisbee, etc. (as long as you can keep them out of the water!). We did not use the fire pit, gas grill, charcoal grill, kayaks, or canoe, but these are all huge pluses here. Great and very quick communication with Dana answered all the questions we had prior to arrival. Dana also provides an unbelievably complete Guidebook to the home and the local area (including restaurant and shopping suggestions) that was stupendous and helpful. Amazing house and amazing host! Dana truly goes above and beyond! Note: the home is located just 15 minutes outside of downtown Sturgeon Bay in southern Door County, so plan ahead for going to Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Sister Bay, etc. that are in northern Door County (40-60 mins away). ##### Edward H.
