Step inside and walk into the spacious Great Room with vaulted ceilings and huge windows that welcome in the sun and panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Your family will enjoy the open floor plan with a well appointed gourmet kitchen, a gas fireplace, a large screen TV, a cabinet full of games and a large dining area with seating for 12. The floor to ceiling wall of windows extends into the primary bedroom which provides you with a magnificent view of the lake to wake up to each morning. The adjoining bathroom features a double sink with granite counters and large walk-in shower. The magnificent lake views continue as you make your way down to the large family recreation room. Here you will find an L-shaped sectional couch with entertainment options including a game table, large screen TV, Wii games, a DVD library and keyboard piano. Two bedrooms and a full bath complete the lower level. Kids and adults alike will love the bunk room on the second floor. Each bunk is outfitted with outlets to recharge phones and personal lights that can be individually dimmed, turned on or off. Built in stairs provide easy access to top bunks. A large open area in this room along with window seating provides ample space to spread out for rainy day fun with board games or crafts. While we were on the go during the day, we loved gathering here towards late afternoon. Evenings were generally spent around the fire pit...and the sunsets were spectacular. The home had everything we needed with 6 kids (10 months - 13 years) and 6 adults. Easy drive to just about anywhere in Door County. My wife and I had our two kids and grandparents so everyone had plenty of space to spread out. Highlights were amazing sunsets and beautiful lakeshore and large, flat backyard for sports and games and the kids' bunk room with teh butest build-in bank of bunk beds (4) with tiny staircases in between making it easy for little kids safely get up top. This is one of those rentals that you can tell is used by the owners, in the best way. Fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils and dishware you'd need, tons of games, magazines, comfortable beds. The instruction book was thorough and the couple questions for which we couldn't find an answer in the book, solved with a quick text to Brenda through the app. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Owner was awesome to work with, check in was seamless and home was even better than pictures. We had a larger group of adults celebrating parents 62nd wedding anniversary and could not have asked for anything better. Sunsets over the bay were truly breathtaking. My family spent a week here and had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful — it’s incredibly clean, well organized, and welcoming! We had everything we needed and spent our days hiking, biking, playing golf, exploring the cute towns nearby, enjoying all the wonderful lawn games at the house, sitting on the dock and watching beautiful sunsets, and spending time around the fire pit. And my three boys loved the bunk room (which has sweet cubbies and reading lights for each bed!)! All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we would LOVE to come spend a week here again. There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep comfortably as well as gather for good times in the common areas. The location on the lake is beautiful. We were out in the backyard every night watching the sunset and drinking coffee in the mornings while we watched the sunrise. It's private, yet accessible. Only 15 minutes or so to downtown Egg Harbor, where we enjoyed several restaurants and the 4th of July fireworks. Brenda was a consummate host and responded quickly to any of our queries.
