Nice cozy rental, very clean well furnished in a quite area. We had fun in the evening around the fire pit, the rental also came with a very nice new gas grill to use. We enjoyed our stay.
The property was in a great location. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. We went kayaking and explored Door County and took the Ferry to Washington Island. We enjoyed camp fires at night and the fur baby enjoyed the yard to play fetch with his ball. Check in and out was easy.
Two things we didn't like was the iron in the water and water pressure. Perhaps we didn’t real it all but we were surprised that we were yo provide paper products.
Area was quiet!
In our party, we had 3 adults, 3 college kids and one high school kid. Overall, everyone enjoyed the accommodations. Beds were very comfortable. Bedding and towels were great. Bathrooms were clean. TV and AC worked as expected. Couple of things guests should note. 2nd bathroom is on the first floor, all bedrooms are on the second floor. The third bedroom is a strange layout and has no table surfaces/lamps and has strange beanbags. We took a small table/lap from the second living room. That helped, but a dresser would greatly improve the functionality and overall vibe of the room. Other furniture layout choices were kind of unusual. Small inexpensive changes/additions would go a long way! We didn't cook at all while we were there and didn't use the dining room. Good location to the water and parks and getting up and down county. Check in and out were seamless.
Not much for the family to do within walking distance, but a great quiet spot to rest between visits to the state parks, the peninsula, etc. would recommend bringing your own drinking water though.
Booking and check in were seamless! The house was perfect for our family of 5 and included our 3 young adult children (18, 20, 22).The house was nicely well updated and it was spacious and homey for us! The only minor thing was the mattress in the main bedroom was sunken. The location was great if you are not planning to go out but for us we wanted to explore other areas so that was a drive. All in all it was a great time, we really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home!
Everything was accurately portrayed on the vrbo website. We had no problem finding the location or getting in. We loved the woodsy setting so near to the lake. And the house was set up nicely for our needs. It was a nice space for all of us to have personal time or family time.We mostly stayed in the first day because of the smoke from Canada, and rested from the activities we'd been so busy with before leaving home.Being so close to Cave Point Park was a lovely thing. It qas a beautiful and refreshing spot to hike around and go down to the water. Probably our favorite spot on the trip.We also visited a few area towns for restaurants and other park areas. The temperatures were perfect and barely any mosquitoes, so we felt very blessed! We enjoyed family time around the fire outside also.We would definitely recommend this rental and its location for quiet walks to Lake Michigan. It seems to be in an area where many retirees live back in the woods, so it's pretty quiet and safe.
