It usually costs more to stay at Stronsay B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed and Breakfast in Stronsay?
The best time to book a B&B in Stronsay is during the peak season from December to February, particularly in January, which is the most popular month for visitors. This winter period attracts those seeking a tranquil escape, as the island's stunning landscapes are often dressed in a serene blanket of frost, creating a picturesque setting for exploring the outdoors.

During these months, temperatures typically range from 2 to 7 degrees Celsius, making it a comfortable time for activities like birdwatching, where you might catch a glimpse of the diverse wildlife that inhabits the island. The crisp air invigorates the senses, and with fewer tourists around, you can enjoy the peaceful charm of Stronsay at your own pace.

If you're considering a visit during a quieter time, November can be a more budget-friendly option. This month allows for a more intimate experience of the island's natural beauty and historical sites, such as the ancient ruins and the captivating coastline, without the hustle and bustle of the high season.
