  • Experience something truly unique with a stay in our handcrafted Mongolian yurt — a cozy, circular retreat that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Nestled in a natural setting in the forest in Sundridge Ontario, this space offers the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life while still providing the essentials you need for a relaxing stay. This glamping site offers access to the yurt, a modern, clean outhouse, outdoor shower( in the spring, summer and fall months) and plenty of outdoor space to have bonfires and BBQs. The yurt is on our 6-acre homestead where you will have your own private access to the yurt. Our property abuts onto 200 acres of crown land, which will guarantee to offer you peace and quiet.
    Outside, you’ll have your own private area to take in the surroundings — whether that’s sipping your morning coffee as the sun rises, stargazing at night, or gathering around a fire pit. With year around availability, you can choose your adventure! Spring/summer: Public beach access to lake Bernard, only 1km away from the yurt. Autumn months: Enjoy the beautiful colors of the maple trees on the property. Winter months: Enjoy winter camping and outdoor activities such as snowshoeing and snowmobiling (Ontario snowmobile trail access RIGHT beside the property). Be submersed in the trees while only 5 minutes away from the village of Sundridge, where you can access all your essential amenities. What is provided for you:

    KITCHEN
    Mini fridge, automated 5 gallon water jug, x2 hot plates, toaster, kettle, coffee pot, pots, pans, cutlery, knives, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, wine glasses, dish soap, dry towel and dishcloth.
    Complimentary coffee, teas, sugar and powered creamer, salt/pepper

    ****Please note there is no running water in the yurt, however there is hot water from the jug dispenser and a kettle to warm water as well. To do dishes in the sink, guests are required to empty the bucket underneath the sink in the bush line. **** Remove food bits so we do not attract wildlife!

    SLEEPING
    Comfy king size bed with pillows, clean linen, comforter and extra blanket.
    *Please note that our yurt does have electrical power with plug ins, lighting and radiant heating for the colder months and a fan will be provided for the warmer months

    OUTHOUSE AND OUTDOOR SHOWER (Hot water provided for shower)
    -Biodegradable toilet paper
    -Wet wipes and sanitizer to clean your hands
    -One clean towel and facecloth will be provided per guest.
    -Biodegradable soap (hair and body) is provided for the outdoor shower.

    OUTSIDE:
    BBQ with propane, patio table/ chairs, screened in patio area,
    Fire pit- x2 chairs
    One stack of firewood. (If you require more it will be an additional charge of $20.00).

    ADDITIONAL:
    Board games, books, deck of cards, first aid kit.

    What to bring:

    PERSONAL BELONGINGS:
    Guests can consider bringing any personal toiletries, medical devices/ personal medicines, toothbrushes, toothpaste, phone charger, clothing (dress in layers to accommodate weather) and sandals for shower.

    FOOD/WATER
    Guests are to bring enough food for your stay (Host’s also can recommend some great places to eat within the area).

    RECOMMENED EXTRAS:
    -Flashlight
    -sunscreen/ bug spray (summer months)
    -Cooler (mini fridge provided however you may need additional space to keep food and drinks cold).
    -Extra blankets/ bedding if guests are sleeping anywhere other than the king size bed.

    ****Additional note to consider for all guests who have allergies: This yurt is made of all natural materials (horse hair ropes, sheep wool insulation and camel hide to bind the wood).
