This property was an absolute gem for my large family to have as headquarters and eating place for my wedding! The ample and interesting yard space was wonderful for the kids to run around, the kitchen provided room to food prep for a small army, and the house combined with location couldn't have been more relaxing and beautiful!
Everything was beautifully clean and welcoming on our arrival.
La Porte is a sweet and sleepy little town, and Little Grass Valley Reservoir is gorgeous, with some neat little beaches and a few fantastic campgrounds!
We love La Porte and this property was amazing. Loved the space and the kitchen. Lots of room to prepare food and also lots of seating at the dining table and extra at the huge kitchen island. We will definitely return!!

Flawed but was still an enjoyable stay
The home was very beautiful and spacious with a tasteful decor. The check in process and communication about how to access the home was not desirable at all.

Great place 2 separate houses
The main house was beautiful thankful enough it was big enough to keep all 10 guests warm and together. However when looking at the pictures online it did not show that the 3 rooms out of the 4 listed were in a back house and is not heated. The PM was there to give us short tour around the drive way should have been shoveled and clear foot safer pathway into the home, however we had no wifi service for the first 2 nights the PM had no idea how to fix it. Thankful for the one store in the area we bought all the food he had and because he knew the cabin he assisted with the wifi hookup. I would suggest only renting one part of the house and grocery shopping prior to arriving also bring less than 10 people so you can all be together and warm if you go during snow weather.
