I never received prior communication about check-in, but a sign on the door to the building informed me to check-in at a different location around the corner. That was fairly simple, but I was charged for the room a second time. Later I realized I had already paid for the room online, went back the next morning, and got a refund. The refund could only be in cash. My room had a door to an adjoining room with a sign on it that said it was a fire exit for the adjoining room. That's pretty wild, but I just turned on my cognitive dissonance, and nothing happened. Das Apartment selbst war schön eingerichtet und mit einer Basic-Küche ausgestattet, in der man sich kleine Mahlzeiten zubereiten konnte. Allerdings liegt die Wohnung im dritten Stock, was mit Gepäck und ohne Aufzug schon recht anstrengend sein kann. Wer nicht gut Treppen steigen kann, sollte das unbedingt bedenken. Ein großer Minuspunkt war leider das Parken. Laut Expedia-Navi sollte ein Parkplatz hinter dem Haus verfügbar sein. Dort haben wir kurz gehalten, um auszuladen, mit Zettel im Auto, dass wir gleich wegfahren. Leider hat die Bäckerei direkt den Abschleppdienst gerufen – obwohl Platz war. Das war ziemlich ärgerlich, aber wohl typisch, wenn man mit Hamburger Kennzeichen unterwegs ist.
