Delores has thought of everything. We have stayed at so many places for our girls trips that are missing key items. This house had everything we needed and more! We loved the outdoor features; screened in porch, the back patio with a fireplace and a lovely waterfall fountain where we watched deer, birds and butterflies The living room had plenty of comfortable seating. We even played some ping pong in the garage! It’s conveniently located between Johnson City and Fredericksburg with easy access to all the wineries and restaurants. First off upon arrival at the farmhouse we met Richard, it was a pleasure. We instantly felt right at home. We loved the farmhouse and the premises. Everything about this place was amazing for us, all the amenities you need just like described, even a safety gate to keep my 16 mth old grandson from going up or down the stairs. The updates in this house for a bit tend to make you forget the age and history of the place. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio, the hanging lights in evening, the pecan trees in the yard and the view of a small vineyard. We played with our grandchildren outside and enjoyed some time on the front porch. My grandchildren loved the room they shared with their parents they also enjoyed the play area in that room. The location of the farmhouse was perfect, we were in town with extended family(about 30) only 5 minutes away on the main road. Stonewall is to the left on the main road, Fredricksburg to the right. We visited wineries, downtown Fredricksurg, went antique shopping and celebrated August birthdays and had lots of quality family time. We did not make it to Stonewall so we will definitely have to schedule another stay. We loved everything about the farmhouse and its premises, so yes I definitely recommend the farmhouse and yes we would love to go back. Great updated farmhouse with ample space. We also liked the fact the master bedroom was on the first floor and had its own bathroom. A quirky staircase from a long time ago goes upstairs which probably was an attic space way back when. Loved the history of the house. 2 bedrooms upstairs were great for 3 young adults. Wifi and internet TV were also a nice modern touch.We enjoyed the fireplace in the backyard and morning coffee on the porch. Very serene and quaint environment with lots of wildlife spotted. The goats on the way to the property are fun to watch. They do not seem afraid of humans or cars. We enjoyed several local winery/restaurants and breweries also. Overall a great place.
