Quiet place to relax; beautiful property for taking walks or just sitting on the front porch and watching and listening to nature! We very much enjoyed our stay!
We have stayed here several times and it never disappoints, regardless of the season! Peaceful and beautiful are the words most descriptive! Always wonderful.
We absolutely loved this property and our time there. Hosts were wonderful, too! There was so much there to enjoy, the lakes, fishing, hiking, swimming, screened in porch, the campfire. We definitely plan to come back!
The home was an incredible mix of primitive furniture, floors and cabinets and fascinating, eclectic artwork. We hiked a portion of the 300 acres and loved the terrain and views. Doug and Jen were perfect hosts. I highly recommend this VRBO and hope to return.
We loved our stay at the farmhouse. Its so peaceful & relaxing. So many activities on the property. They really have thought of everything you could possibly need. Looking forward to staying here again
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful property in a beautiful setting. We fished, kayaked, played yard games and just enjoyed being away from our otherwise busy lives. The hosts were wonderful and communication was great as well. We look forward to finding a time to come back again!
The house is clean, quaint, and cozy. Situated on a beautiful wooded property adjacent to well stocked lake for fishing. We all had a wonderful time and hope to return soon.
This 300 acre farm house with 2 ponds is absolutely beautiful. The property owner Doug made check in and check out a breeze. He even had milk, eggs, butter, coffee, and muffins ready for our stay. Communication was prompt when we had questions. If you are looking to go back to a simpler time with peace and quiet...this is the one for you. 10 minute drive to sugercreek, the gateway to amish country.
We've stayed here several years now. The property is gorgeous and the farmhouse is so special. The owners always leave fresh eggs, and muffins and juice for their guests. Such a peaceful time. I would highly recommend booking a stay
A friend of mine and I needed a last minute getaway and boy did this place deliver! We shopped during the day at nearby Sugarcreek and Berlin. During the evenings, we took advantage of the beautiful scenery with walks and wine by the bonfire. This cabin is peaceful and provided everything we could need. This spot is going to become our yearly tradition!! Fantastic hosts!!
We found no reason to leave this cabin for entertainment! There is so much to do like hiking, bird watching, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and pedal boating. The owners are very responsive and friendly.
This little farmhouse with lakes, paddleboats, large campfire area and gorgeous trees gave our family a wonderful setting to reconnect for the weekend. The farmhouse was filled with unique antiques, art and places to play games, read and cook in the up-to-date kitchen. We'll come back.
The house was very cozy and comfortable and very nicely updated. The owners of the property actually seem to care about your stay. They call when you get there to make sure everything is ok and call before you leave to make sure everything went well. The location of the property is close enough to shopping and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy privacy and nature. We absolutely loved everything about it and are already planning to go again in the near future.
I loved our stay at the farm house property! The property was even more beautiful than in the pictures! Fall leaves were lovely. They even had some toys for the little kids upstairs. We also loved the muffins, eggs, milk, and orange juice that the owners had stocked in the fridge before we arrived. Very private and secluded. We will definitely go back!
Doug and Jennifer were wonderful hosts! Answered all of our questions within minutes. The farmhouse was just as described...My mom loved reminiscing about times past in this historic farmhouse. We loved shopping at nearby Amish country and celebrating her 85th Birthday! My husband and son enjoyed the lake and caught many catch and release fish! Quiet setting, not a sole in sight. We look forward to coming back!
Was an amazing setting. So private and quiet. Homey farm house. Very clean and comfortable. Loved fishing and relaxing by the lake. Owners are such nice people. Our third visit here. It is truly a place to to refresh and renew. Amish country a short drive away. So many shops and restaurants. Hope to return many more times in future!
We had an amazing time. From the first moment of arrival with a welcome surprise, to the last moment of departure with a goodbye phone call, the setting, facility and hosts' hospitality could not have been better. This is a beautiful location with multiple amenities outside within steps, like fishing, hiking, frisbee golf, playground equipment, etc.Even inside the home it is an artistic adventure. We loved every minute, and would provide a 100% recommendation.
