  • The location of this amazing cottage brings together the best of coastal living and inland recreational treats. Relax and enjoy watching the sun setting from your front deck. Two bedrooms, a practical kitchen & all the modern commodities provided. Enjoy an early morning swim in the Ocean or boogie board to your heart's content. There is a rental store at the end of our street with wet-suits and surf boards . We have a strict limit on the number of guests--only 4 guests may use or visit the property at one time (this includes children) Please respect this rule..

Gorgeous beachfront

Stinson is our magical spot and we were so happy to find a cute BEACHFRONT property that is reasonably priced, walking distance to town and dog friendly. We love the master bedroom- can watch the waves while cozied up in bed.

We loved this adorable cottage which was so comfy for the 2 of us. The view is spectacular and the artsy bohemian atmosphere of the furnishings is right up our alley. The host is wonderful and we so look forward to our next stay!

Perfectly located for a friend getaway including my pup. Right on a dog friendly beach, it was convenient for daily walks to town for delicious treats. Hostess Angela was super responsive to an issue we had with the water heater and had it repaired the next day. I would love to return to this beachfront gateway

PERFECT little place! We will be back. The views are amazing, the bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept on away from home, and the location can't be beat. There is a lovely deck, but if you want to sit on the sand, bring your own beach chairs.

Best location for a beach vacation

My husband and I had our son and granddaughter staying with us. The access to the beach right out our door was so perfect for my sand loving, wave hopping preschooler!The kitchen was sufficient for our meals that were prepared as we went. It is within walking distance to downtown Stinson, where we enjoyed latte’s and treats. My son was able to crab fish right out our front door, and we were thrilled to be able to enjoy the fruit of his labor. Perfect!

Beach Front White Water View

Lovely spot to relax in right on the beach, views of varied beach acivies: walking, surfing, kites, jogging — and for surfers, you are right there! Park Side Cafe has really upgraded, superb bakery, excellent chef. Breakers Cafe also very good. Bookstore and library close at hand, and Mt. Tam is just across thge street with world class coastal view trails and redwoods. Stinson Beacch Market is well-stocked — including fresh vegetables — and has friendly staff members.

Incredible location - wonderful stay!

I have stayed in many properties over the years at Stinson Beach, and the location doesn’t get much better than this one. The view from the main bedroom is literally onto the surf breaking 30 yards away. Great little deck (on the beach). My son surfed right in front of the house and was “buzzed” by dolphins playing alongside him in the waves! Ideal for a family (2 adults, 2 kids), “small” inside but everything you need (including a log fire to snuggle up in front of in the evenings if the fog roles in). But who cares? You “live” on the beach and deck!!! Will definitely come back again!

Amazing beach view

We came to California from Texas to enjoy the beach and some amazing hikes. We loved everything about the area. To stay on the beach and have the beautiful state park within minutes of us was amazing. Although we were a little concerned how four of us would share one bathroom, it wasn’t a problem at all. We were so grateful to find a place within our budget actually on the beach. The only thing that would have made the stay even better would have been better communication from the host. The second night we were there the smoke detector started beeping. We messaged the host for assistance but got no response. Thankfully, it took the same batteries as the tv remote and we just swapped them out and all was good. Overall a wonderful stay in a nice little home in a great location. We had a great time. Hope to be able to come back again someday.

Good News & Bad News

First the good news: It is beach-front, with a million-dollar view from the eating table and the large deck overlooking the surf and private beach. The bad news: you have to walk across that private beach to get to the place, and you have to park the car about half a block away. It is small, with a tiny bathroom accessible only by entering the second bedroom. There is no washer or dryer -- you have to go to the laundromat in Bolinas.

Absolute perfection

Our stay at Stinson Beach was incredible. Angela is such a gracious host, even coming out to meet us when we arrived very late the first night. It was wonderful having a dedicated parking spot as space is much in demand and the neighbors are quite protective. The home itself is a dream. The master bedroom, living room, and kitchen look out over the ocean and I felt myself soaking up the peace the entire time we were in the house. It literally could not be more oceanfront- at high tide, the water comes up under the raised deck. The beach is beautiful and very walkable, and our little dog was in heaven running around and chasing the waves with all the other sweet doggies. There is a library, two restaurants, and a small but well-stocked grocery store within walking distance. San Francisco is about 25 minutes away and a Napa Valley about one hour, so very easy to make day trips. The only consideration I’d give is if someone has extreme vertigo/fear of heights or has mobility challenges. The road to the cottage snakes up and down narrow, winding mountain roads and to access the home itself, it’s necessary to walk about 20 feet across the sand and then up two short flights of wooden stairs (~ten steps). I couldn’t imagine a lovelier, more perfectly mismatched, comfortable beach house and I’m a little embarrassed to admit I cried when we had to leave. We very much hope to return, and have two friends who are already planning stays there based on our raving!
