Ski in, Ski out! Right at the base of the new Gondola Terminal! You will enjoy comfort and convenience at this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom slopeside condominium at Chateau Chamonix. Our open plan living room has vaulted ceilings, offering excellent views of the ski resort from the large L-shape sofa. The living room boasts access to the private balcony, a gas fireplace and a flat screen TV. Dining is a breeze, with a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining table with seating for 6, plus 3 more at the breakfast bar. The primary bedroom features a king bed, another separate, private balcony, and en suite primary bathroom with double sink vanity, walk-in shower and jetted tub. The second bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom, and the third bedroom has two bunk beds, with the third bathroom located across the hall. The living room sofa is a pull out if needed. All of the bedrooms feature flat screen TVs with DVD players, as well as ceiling fans. The full size washer and dryer is great for any dirty laundry, and the storage cubbies in the large entryway will keep all your gear organized.
Staying at Chateau Chamonix means great property amenities including a fitness center, sauna, year round indoor/outdoor heated pool plus hot tubs for your enjoyment after a day on the slopes. Ski storage and boot drying allows you to store your gear outside of the condo, plus you will have access to a cozy fire pit slope side to chat around winter or summer. There are common spaces for lounging on the various decks complete with gas grills to cook up some easy meals. A quick walk takes you to all the restaurants, shopping and the super convenient Wild Plum market in or near the base area. *** Please Note: Guests staying in our condo do not have access to the shuttle or the front desk. You are a short walk away from the Gondola Transit Center and the free bus system.

As locals, we are here to quickly handle any issues and provide expert Steamboat insights! We follow all local rules and state laws regarding taxes, occupancy, and any other nightly rental restrictions.
Each of our vacation rental homes comes with the essentials needed to enjoy your Steamboat Springs vacation; towels, linens, bathroom products, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, tissues, etc. You will be required to electronically sign our vacation home rental agreement to finalize your reservation. Your reservation total includes all applicable state and local taxes, Accidental Damage Protection, and a cleaning fee.
Cancellation Policy: Non-holiday reservations: Reservations cancelled at least 30 days before arrival day will be refunded 100%. Reservations cancelled 29 or fewer days before arrival date will be refunded whatever amount we can re-book with a new guest. If unable to re-book with a new guest, the entire reservation will be forfeited.
Holiday reservations (the week of Christmas and the week after Christmas): Reservations cancelled at least 45 days before the start of your stay will be refunded 100%. Reservations cancelled 44 or fewer days before arrival date will be refunded the amount we re-book with a new guest. If unable to re-book with a new guest, the entire reservation will be forfeited.
Is there a cancellation fee? You can cancel any reservation for free up to 48 hours after booking. After 48 hours we charge a $100 administrative fee for cancelling a reservation more than 30 days from arrival date (45 for holiday reservations).
We encourage you to buy our Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) insurance to ensure you won't lose any money due to circumstances out of your control.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot tub was very nice along with the boot drying room and ski storage room. Had a couple of issues that were resolved quickly by the staff.
This is the perfect place in steamboat! View from the living room is stunning and super convenient to the slopes, restaurants, and parking lot where you park. 10/10!

Beautifully maintained condo with easy ski in skin out. Equipment and boot room made managing your equipment very easy and organized. Fun to watch the base, especially the night skiing.
Had the best time at Sand Mountain. The property made everything so easy with covered parking, a pool and hot tub, a ski room and boot room right next to the mountain, truly ski on ski off, and even donuts, hot chocolate, and tea daily. The unit itself had the most amazing view of the mountain. It was spacious and stocked with games for my kids to play with, enough plates, cups, utensils, etc. Overall a great experience that we will return to in the future.
I can't imagine there are many places in Steamboat with a more convenient location than this unit. The view is great and it's just a short walk down to Gondola Square. Once you figure out the route to take, the ski-in/ski-out is easy, and the ski and boot storage area was very nice. The decor is a little dated, but not in an inconvenient way. It had everything we needed. It was just humorous to see the built-in audio system with a 6 CD changer and instructions on how to use the Aux cord to connect your "iPod or MP3 player".
Steamboat has grown up! Along with it the base area is huge. Good news is there are lots of “ski-in, ski-out condos. Sand Mountain is one of them. Striking view of the base area, and just a dozen steps from snow. The three bed & bath is 80’s decor and well appointed. Everything worked, and it was quiet, and warm.

This is a great ski condo.
You look out over the two lower gondolas, plus all the base shops, etc. It is also so close, it is hardly worth putting on different shoes to change into your boots at the gondola.
Rooms are light, with plenty of windows. Kitchen has most appliances you would need, including both a Keurig style coffee maker, and a drip carafe coffee maker. Plenty of TVs. They even have humidifiers available in the rooms which can make sleeping in the dry mountain air much more comfortable.
Furniture is a bit "rustic", but all very comfortable.
It is on the third floor, so you can park and walk right up the stairs to the door, or park a 100 feet away along the building and take the elevator right there.
Hosts keep you well informed all through the process, and even present you with plenty of local information and discount opportunities on rentals and activities.
All in all, a great VRBO choice for Steamboat Springs.
We loved this unit at Chateau Chamonix, and it was perfect for our family of five, although it would also be very comfortable for two families of four. The view is spectacular, and it was immaculately clean--kudos to the cleaning service -- not a speck of dust even on baseboards, light fixtures, etc. Sometimes it's hard to tell from a listing what you'll really be getting, so I assure you that this unit has all those small touches that make a place truly livable. Things like plenty of plugs on both sides of the bed for charging, great light (including in the showers), plenty of extra paper towels, trash bags, lysol wipes, extra blankets, lots of pillow options, humidifiers (didn't expect this!), board games that had all the pieces. All these details made our stay so relaxing and chill, I felt like I was at home!For those who have younger kids who need it very dark to sleep--this is the unit for you! Blackout shades really worked--made the bunk room very dark. Not only that, but adults could watch TV in the living room at normal volume and kids couldn't hear it at all after they were tucked in. There are several thermostats so none of the bedrooms got too hot/cold. Kids can ski in and out on greens!Kitchen was super clean (including the inside of the trash can) and had all the basic cooking necessities plus oil, salt and pepper, cinnamon, etc. Plenty of flatware/dishes--this isn't a unit where you're going to have to wash between meals.Highly recommend this place!
The team at Four Seasons are very customer focused - easy to work with, friendly and very knowledgeable about the Steamboat area. The unit we rented was exactly as advertised and was well equipped.
The condo was nice but had no AC, so it was pretty uncomfortable at night
The condo was nice but had no air conditioning. It was super hot except in the evening so we spent very little time in the actual condo. We had the windows open at night to get airflow but there was a ton of construction going on at the base of the gondola which was very loud each day (including Saturday) at 7am. Overall our stay was fine but some of the windows didn’t work and couldn’t be opened and it was extremely stuffy. We were on the third level and the elevator didn’t work either so climbing three flights of stairs multiple times a day wasn’t our favorite but overall the condo was fine.
