It is very close to the base area via car (2-3 minutes). On the map it appeared it would be walk-able w/ trails but this was not the case. In the winter it maybe skiable to the base? The master bed does sit a little high, so that could be an issue for some folks. I am 5'0 and had to climb up to get into bed. Bed was comfy, a little on the firmer side. Daughter used the pull put couch and slept just fine. There was an extra padded matters cover so she used that as well. Did not use the pool / hot tub but the area looked nice. We had a nice stay. When the snow is plentiful it is walk in/ski out. It would be helpful if there was another small chair in the living room for seating. The wi-fi was not the best and my husband had to go elsewhere in the morning to use his laptop for work. We did call and they sent someone up in the afternoon to try and fix it. It was better, but slow.
