"I was looking for a quiet place to hunker down outside of America, to be able to use an internet connection and get done with done. I found friends, a warm welcome, and so much laughter despite not speaking the same languages. I think my 3 week stay will be forever remembered as one of those transformative moments of my life. Note: the property is not in downtown Ulcinj but in a nearby town Donji Štoj. The house mailing address system is not quite compatible with Vrbo and so it shows as downtown in Ulcinj but is not. Ulcinj is a 10-15 taxi away."
"Stayed for 1 night in February. Arrived to a huge empty car park and thought the hotel was closed! Friendly welcome in reception and was upgraded for free to the presidential apartment. Informed we were the only guests in the whole hotel. Room was lovely, 2 bathrooms and sea view. As it was off season we didn’t use pool or any other facilities as they were closed. "This property was outstanding. We had a mix up with the room I booked which was a deluxe villa but got a basic room. The hosts were really apologetic and should be issuing a refund for the difference. The breakfast was outstanding and its a 10 minute walk to the old town so location could not be better. The parking was very challenging so if you are driving this could be an issue its a very step incline with a tight turn into a driveway walls on all sides. We could not find the villa and google maps got it wrong but we popped into a restaurant and they called they owners who met us there and let us follow them. This was extremely good value for what you got I would highly recommend it. The host also offered to take us to a local beach for €10 each way and it was so nice and private. I posted a review on trip adviser as well with photos. "
"The landlord is a great guy, he's full of information about the town and he saves us by printing out our boarsing cards bwfore we left. We had to find gim at his hotel on the seafront for this though.
The property is spacious and decently furnished, 6 can confortably sleep there. But there were sone problems: there were no cups, glasses of saucepans in the kitchen and the promised microwave did not exist. The AC unit dripp constantly and profusely, and there are 6 or seven parking spaces for the 8 flats, but some blocked others in, so we had to knock on our neighbour's doors a few timea before leaving.
The town itself is a crazy holiday town with loads of identical restaurants and bars and a beach that is completely packed all day. Seafood was excelent at all of them.
However, we found that visiting the beach about 5pm for a dip was very nice and there are lots of places to visit nearby, including the beautiful (emptyish) expanse of long beach about 20 mins away. There is also a very good supermarket (Idea) 5 mins walk from the property."
