"Teri was a very gracious hostess, we showed up late but it wasn’t a problem. Pet friendly was a huge plus for us and breakfast was a wonderful bonus. Beautiful property and we would love to visit again. Pete & Chris Rojas"
"Travelling with a friend. Could use two room cards. Said they could only give one card to us as they only had one left and they expected another party. Parking lot had 20 more cars come morning. So that was curious.
Indoor pool was a little dirty. Hot tub was really murky. Cigarette butt on pool deck floor by table (indoor pool).
Tub sounded like it was going to crack when I had a shower in it. It was fine if this can be overlooked."
"Beautiful home and property with very accessible location. About 15 minute drive to trail hike near the Mesa, which is great in the summer because it may be 90 in Palisade but you can hike in 50 weather at the Grand Mesa elevation. About a 25 minute drive into Palisade for Vineyard hopping. The large backyard is fully fenced if you are bringing dogs. We enjoyed drinking coffee there in the mornings and watching them play. There are lots of trees around the property if you want to bring camping chairs, and find shade, but we also brought our canopy and popped it up over the back porch for sunnier times of the day. In the evenings, don’t miss the sunsets… It’s spectacular! You might even see the neighborhood bear. He’s cute. A few notes if you are traveling with dogs. There is a lot of foxtail grass/seeds throughout the property. Be sure to check in between their toes and ears at the end of the day. Our dogs do not have the type of fur that mats, but if you have those types of furry friends, you might want to shave them before you come, or the foxtail seeds will stick to them. Also, while there is a small stream/creek running through the property, we did not use it because the grass is pretty high all around it and you have to walk downhill a ways to access it. There is a small wooden bridge you can stand on over the water which is pret. We had thought we might let our dogs swim but it just wasn’t set up for that. But they had plenty of fun swimming at all the Mesa lakes!"
"We were traveling with our two kids and a dog and the Alpine Motel ended up being a great place to rest our heads at night. The motel was clean, easy to check in, and convenient for access to the Grand Mesa. The room has a pretty good sized refrigerator and microwave. The snack room is an added bonus and was great for getting coffee in the morning. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area."
"Really pretty and special property. The host thought of everything for ease and comfort. The Silo was so cute and comfortable. We really enjoyed seeing all the animals, looking at the stars, and getting to know "Patch", the dog."
"Came to check in and there was a power outage through no fault of the lodge. At the time there was no running water but I was charged $2.00 each for a bottle of water. I understand when things are beyond your control but you should make some compensation or rate reduction for inconvenience. The power did come on at 9:00 pm that night which was great. My boys and I loved the cabin and the price was very reasonable. We brought our pet and the person at the front desk was very worried that we wouldn’t come back to pay the extra $40 since it wasn’t billed yet and the register wasn’t working without power. He drove by the cabin an hour later to let me know their generator had the register working so I could go pay for my dog fee. I was there for two nights and fully intended to pay the fee since I had emailed earlier in the week reminding them that I needed to add it to my cost. Overall my kids and I rated the stay an 8 out of 10, there were just a couple of things that could have been better"
