Clean. Pre-arrival instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Close walk to the beach, mini putt, and Indian Shores coffee shop (great spot). All amenities for the beach, tennis/pickleball, and kitchen. Parking was convenient. Carts are available for grocery and luggage up the elevator. It was windy for a couple of nights, which made it a bit noisy with the old sliding doors. The condo faces north so we didn’t see the sunrise this time of year. The foam on the beds are quite thick, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. The condo is in a great location. It's on Gulf Boulevard but set back enough from the road so you don't hear any of the traffic, and very quiet sleeping at night. The beach access is almost directly across the street, and it was great to have the wagon, chairs, toys and beach umbrella provided. Having Smugglers Cove mini golf just a few steps from the building was a bonus. I also enjoyed sitting on the back balcony and watching the boats go by on the intracoastal waterway. It's also close to the bridges that get you back over on the mainland, so many other restaurants, stores, and supermarkets are within an easy 5-10 minute drive. We have stayed a Bay Shores Yacht and Tennis Club numerous times and appreciate the location and the amenities. The condo is newly remodeled and very clean. However, there was some building materials left out during our stay which was a little out of place and unappealing. The condo is equipped with all the beach necessities as well as kitchen appliances. However, the house was lacking basic home essentials, such as shampoo, body wash, and sugar. Our stay was for over a week and small touches like that go along way in making a place feel more homey. The condo had tennis racquets but no pickleball paddles or putters for the putting green. The owner recommended playing mini golf, which is located just a minute walk from the condo. We had a great time. The walk to the Gulf beach is three minutes, and the sunsets there are gorgeous. We reached out to Charline for her to call us and give us some additional information about her rental and general questions about the area. She was very helpful and encouraged us to visit. It turned out to be a great choice to stay at Charline’s place. She was supportive throughout our stay with recommendations on places to eat and visit. We really enjoyed our stay and will make future visits. As for the living space and facilities, they were of excellent quality. The apartment is freshly remodeled as is the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Trolly buses make traveling up and down the coast, from St Petersburg to Clearwater, easy and affordable. Our check-in was a little bumpy as we did not receive instructions prior to our arrival. Thankfully it only took an hour to reach our host and get the instructions. Our condo was clean and the amenities on the property are great. 3 pickleball courts and 2 tennis courts, the pool is a nice size and recently upgraded and goes from 4ft-7ft. Short walk to the beach, putt putt course next door was a fun family activity. There were plenty of beach towels, 4 beach chairs and an umbrella along with 2 nice tennis racquets. I thought there could have been a few essential items that could have been stocked like salt and pepper, dish soap, paper towels. Liked it that there was a queen and twin bed in the spare room and 2 full bathrooms. We had great views of the waterway and you can see the ocean from the front door. Loved the location. It had everything we needed. It had 6 beach towels, 5 or 6 beach chairs, a pop up beach tent that was so simple to set up (this was a game changer), beach toys, and a wagon to transfer everything in. It also had 2 tennis rackets. The tennis and pickleball courts are really nice. We bought some pickleball paddles and ball and left it there for the next group. Charline was great to work with. Answered our questions and any concerns we had. We want to go back. The beach was a 3 minute walk. We thought it was better than the beaches up north (Sand Key and Clearwater). It was less crowded as well. It's right next to a mini golf place that we recommend you try. Don't waste money on feeding the alligators. Not worth it, but the course was really fun. It's right by a trolley stop. We didn't use it, but considered it. We tried VIP Mexican, PJ's Oyster Bar, and Frenchy's. All great places to eat. Frenchy's was hard to get to because of the location. Maybe worth using the trolley next time.Beds were comfortable. The furniture is really nice and they've done a great job with the updates in it. The building is older, but didn't bother us at all. My Indian Shores condo view and seaside/ mangrove- location provided opportunities to once again experience order and scenarios that encourage me to cope in this, sometimes, challenging world: Quiet mornings on the balcony with a cup of coffee and a beautiful view of the mangrove with seabirds soaring by; Pelicans, in their military line-up or on solo flights, scanning their shopping malls for snacks; and the Osprey pair roaming and patrolling their territory. Also complimenting my stay was a visit to the Seaside Seabird Rescue Sanctuary where at the very time we were visiting the ‘rescued and fixed up’ birds were being released back to the seaside. Very inspiring! It is only a 10-minute plus walk away from the condo. The best memories of my time in Indian shores are the setting sun with the fisherman and waiting heron and a pelican in flight in a perfect picture moment. Stayed 14 nights in May 2024 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Stephanie R., Antioch, IL 3 Feb 2024 Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy #### Awful owner We got to the property about 3 hours after check in only to find that the property hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. All the linens were stripped and in the laundry basket, the bathrooms were filthy, and there were various makeup and other items left behind. After several messages to the host with no response, we contacted vrbo support who was able to get us in contact with the owner. She was unapologetic, and stated she was out of the country and had no idea her cleaning staff did not visit the property. Then, after several hours of no cleaning person arriving to clean the property and bring new linens, and the owner still not answering any messages or calls we were forced to find somewhere else to stay because we had 2 children with us and it was late at night. The owner has refused to refund us, even though after we left she finally called back and stated "Fine, leave if you want". An absolutely terrible experience. ##### Stephanie R. The condo itself is located in an old building but the condo has been updated. One of the two elevators was out of service so accessing this 5th floor condo was sometimes frustrating as EVERYONE was using the only working elevator. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen however that's where the comforts stop. The owner is using old and stained towels for the bathrooms. The couch is as about as comfortable as a wood bench and the beds are cheap memory foam (Tempurpedic knock offs) that if you're over 150 pounds will make your back ache. The TV in the living room has a full line of dead pixels right down the middle of the screen and it is not a smart TV so you cannot access any streaming apps. The stand alone shower was built by a crooked eyed contractor as the door doesn't close properly because it was installed poorly. The shower also has no soap shelf or caddy so you'll have to dump all your shower gear on the shower floor. The AC unit was also improperly installed inside a closet that does not get adequate air intake. It causes the unit to struggle and makes a sucking noise. I recommend propping the door open with an object to allow the system to breathe. I'm pretty sure it's not up to code. The location is fantastic, the covered parking spot is great to have in the summer heat and the pool is small but clean. I recommend a visit to Salt Rock (5 minute walk south) for an upscale WONDERFUL meal. I will not be staying in this condo again and I do not recommend it. ##### Will K.
