Its in a poor part of town. They are making improvement, but have a long way to go. Bed was comfortable, linens were clean but only one towel in the room. Light ou the outside was shinning in the window all night...only a light weight curtain in tje room. I felt safer when the owner told me someone was at the entrance atvall times.

Realize, we are talking downtown East St. Louis. One block away is the remnants os Sportsman Park. This is where the Cardinals played until 1966. I had been on the road for over 3 days. I was tired, and it was late. I was tired and looking for a bed, nothing more. The sheets were clean, and bed comfortable. I slept well. Nothing current of fancy. Woke up refreshed, and continued on my travels

I've stayed here before and it was perfect for my trip to sightsee downtown. Construction going on this time and the entrance can be difficult to find. It's not a fancy place, but it's safe, comfortable and inexpensive.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!! I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite traveling with legitimate service animals, I was refused accommodations. Service animals are not pets, and being denied a stay because of them created an unnecessary and stressful situation. Before booking, I trusted that properties listed on Expedia would understand and follow basic accessibility requirements. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Afterward, I looked through many of the reviews and noticed a pattern of complaints from other guests as well. It makes me question why Expedia continues to partner with a property that consistently receives poor feedback. I cannot recommend this hotel and would encourage future guests, especially those traveling with service animals, to confirm the hotel’s policies in writing before booking.

If you think you've had the worst, try this place.

I reserved a single night and pre-paid via PayPal on site several weeks prior. When arriving that afternoon, they were unable to find my details. When I said I booked online, they referred to a piece of paper that had handwritten details on it, yet they still couldn't find it and asked me to pay again. I showed both the receipt details and confirmation number, and they gave me a key to enter my room. The quality of the room wasn't great, and the location is a bit suspect, but I wasn't expecting a 5* place. It was clean at least. However, at 1:00a, the night manager banged on my door, accusing me of not paying and demanding that I pay again. Given the conditions of the neighborhood where the motel is and the time that he woke me up, he's lucky he didn't get hurt. I shared the same confirmation details as I had done with the other staff in the afternoon, and he went away for about 30 minutes, then came banging on my door again. I shared the same details, and he went away until 4:30a, at which point I heard banging on my door for a third time. However, when I opened the door, nobody was there, but I can safely assume it was the same man. I packed up and left after a combined 3 hours of sleep, as I was sure he would just come a 4th time to accost me. When I contacted Hotels.com Support, they confirmed that my payment did indeed go through when I did the original reservation. "Miraculously", the motel was then able to find my reservation. Avoid this place like it's the plague.

This property was terrible there was a mouse in the room. The property is dirty and sketchy. I would not recommend. Honestly I don't know why they haven't been shut down yet.

I do understand this is a very low cost motel but i think the management can do minimal care. There were cigarette marks all over the floor and even the bed sheet was burnt and had hole. The room was filled with smoke mist and my cloths also got that smell. The bathroom was not clean fairly, had low light.

This is the worst motel I've ever been to in my life and it's grounds are not safe for anyone unfamiliar with the area. Im from here and it wasn't safe for me. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

Guy at the front desk was rude. The room looked like an escape room, pretty terrifying or like a crime scene. Filthy bathrooms, filthy bedding with burn holes. Dangerous area with crack heads on the corner asking for money as your are trying to check in.

When I my room, it was filthy. There was riding on the bathroom shower.\n The lady behind the desk told me that there was no rooms available after I told her that I had paid online for it. Then she made me pay. An extra $10 for my friend of which I had already paid for all 3 of us, but she made me pay $10 more.Also , they said there was no visitors allowed. So overall , with the motel in the people that worked there , I am very dissatisfied
