The Neighborhood: ☆ The Neighborhood ☆
Centrally-located in the burgeoning Midtown Alley Design District, you'll be minutes away from virtually every major destination in the city. Phenomenal dining and nightlife options within walking distance include world-famous Pappy's Smokehouse, The Southern, Urban Chestnut Brewing, The Fountain on Locust, and many more. Here's a little more about the Midtown Alley Design District from the community's website:
"Originally called Automobile Row, Midtown Alley was St. Louis’s prime spot to purchase cars between 1911 and 1955. In 2005, the neighborhood was added to the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. National Park Service. While none of the original automobile businesses remain, the buildings–many of which were designed by the famed architect Preston Bradshaw–still stand as a reminder of what first made this neighborhood so special in the city of St. Louis.
Today, Midtown Alley is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in St. Louis. New restaurants such as Brennan’s Work and Leisure, Small Batch, and Egg Midtown are opening up next to older neighborhood staples like The Fountain on Locust and Pappy’s Smokehouse. The heart of our neighborhood, however, can be found in the local St. Louis design businesses that call Midtown Alley their home.
Within the past ten years, our neighborhood has entered into a new renaissance, thanks in no small part to the designers, architects, and artists who saw the potential of this seven-block stretch and breathed new life into the area.
Walking down Locust Street, one can feel the creative energy of the neighborhood. New firms pioneering innovative business models are opening their doors next to ice cream shops, modeling agencies, and local barbecue hangouts. This eclectic mix of old and new has become the defining feature of Midtown Alley. As new businesses pop up and students and long-time residents alike flock to Midtown’s residential lofts, there can be no doubt that Midtown Alley is St. Louis’s creative epicenter. Just as Midtown’s past can be seen in the historic buildings lining the sidewalks, the neighborhood’s future is found in the creative businesses that brought these structures back to life.”
Other Things to Note: ☆ Long-Term Stays ☆
Unlike most other hosts, corporate housing is our specialty. We prepare our homes not just to handle the needs of guests staying a few days, but for guests staying for months or years. Not only are our homes better equipped for your needs, our long-term rates are among the most competitive available. Guests staying longer than 31 days will not be required to pay sales tax (saving an additional 17%), and will receive huge discounts on add-on services like pets and parking.
☆Parking☆
Midtown is a very popular neighborhood, and parking is limited. Parking is metered on the street, and there are paid lots in the area.
We wanted to provide parking for guests bringing a car while not inflating the nightly rate for those who wouldn't need parking, so we've purchased an on-site gated parking space, and rent the space for $15/night as a convenient add-on option for those who need it. Add-on services are paid separately after booking, and include all local and state taxes, so the rate you see is the rate you pay! We offer huge discounts for guests staying longer than a week –35% off stays 7+ nights, 65% off stays 28+ nights.
☆Pets☆
Bringing your furry friends? We're dog friendly! Our pet fee is $15 per night per pet, and we allow up to 4 dogs with a weight limit of 75 lbs per pup. Just be sure to indicate the number of companions you'll be bringing with you when you checkout, and the pet fee will be incorporated into the rate automatically.
Bringing 3 or more pups along? Staying longer than a week? Message us before you book and we will send over a special offer with a discounted pet fee!
☆Check-In, Check-Out, and Support Hours☆
Check-In: 4pm-9pm Check-Out: 10am
If you have any issues getting in, or have any questions, we're available from 9a-9p, 7 days a week!
☆Rental Policy☆
Most of our guests are incredibly respectful and kind, but occasionally we have guests who treat our home, our cleaners, and/or our neighbors with disrespect. We require all guests to agree to our rental policy, to pay any associated fines in the event of violation of these policies, and to take responsibility for any damaged or missing items. We require a credit card for incidentals, and reserve the right to place an authorization hold in the amount of $195, which will be released in full upon inspection of the property, provided that our policies were adhered to and there were no damages. We also reserve the right to perform guest identity verification and screening after booking. When you check out, you'll have the opportunity to review and accept our rental policy, which may be referred to as 'Booking Terms', 'Rental Agreement', 'Rental Policy', or by another name depending on channel you book through. Please familiarize yourself with our policy prior to booking.
☆Boarding Pass ☆
Your reservation includes Boarding Pass – an intuitive digital guidebook that makes check-in and check-out easy. With your Boarding Pass, you’ll be able to:
●Get directions to the property ●Access easy to follow photo check-in and check-out instructions ●Access guidebooks with FAQs about the property ●Purchase optional add-on services
Shortly after you book, we’ll send over your Boarding Pass, and you can complete your booking with a few easy steps:
1. Enter your details, selecting any desired add-on services 2. Verify your identity with a selfie / ID check 3. Sign rental agreement 4. Provide credit card for incidentals 5. Submit payment for selected add-on services (if applicable)
Once that’s done, the main screen of the Boarding Pass contains your check-in instructions, which will be accessible 2 hours before the check-in time.
☆Cancellations+Alterations☆
Please consult the cancellation terms in the rental policy prior to booking to determine the amount of the refund, if any, that will be issued in the event of cancellation or alteration. We sometimes receive requests for additional refunds beyond those already offered. We understand that there are many valid reasons for needing to cancel or alter a reservation, so rather than acting as a kind of judge for the validity of each case (and in fairness to our guests who do not ask for special treatment), we refer guests to our cancellation policy to ensure it’s understood upfront and do not offer policy exceptions for any reason.
If there is some doubt as to whether you’ll potentially need to cancel the reservation, we recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your stay.

I was nervous at first about this stay because it was my first time booking in the area but I was so happy with my choice! Check in was very detailed and simple. Entire property, including unit, was spotless. Parking, simple and convenient (I opted to pay for parking). Before I left, I booked my next stay and am looking forward to my return!

We recently stayed in this VRBO in St. Louis and I can’t say enough great things about it! Communication with the owner was fast every single time I had a question. The property was in great shape and it fit our needs perfectly. I was traveling with my 19 year old son and my 78 year old mom on this trip. We traveled by train from Little Rock and then caught an Uber whenever we needed to go somewhere. If you’re looking for a nice new space with an open feel, this is the one for you!!! We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

This is a cheerful loft in a secure building. We visited for the holidays and hosted our daughter and her housemates for Christmas dinner. We appreciated the dedicated parking and the quiet building. It's a simple space but a fun one to inhabit. The area is pretty quiet, but Small Batch across the street has great vegetarian food and excellent whisky; Egg down the block serves a good breakfast. Pappy's, of course, cooks up great BBQ.

The location was SO perfect. We could go anywhere in St Louis with ease. Close to everything. Excellent restaurants around the area with lots of things to do. Located in a safe part of town and we had no problems at all. Host quick to respond if we needed anything. The loft itself was exactly what we needed. Will book again!
