There were a few homeless people near by but I guess that does not differ from most cities these days. Only downside was a lack of air conditioning. Our first day was hot (and there are fans), second day was pleasant, so probably only matters on the hot days. ##### Jen P. The location is PERFECT. Just a short walk to the harbor or George/Water street but far enough away to be quiet, and no hills! When you read other reviews take into consideration the hills in St. John are no joke (think San Francisco). We also had a rental car and loved that we could keep it parked in the driveway without having to worry about street parking. The house was super clean and the WiFi worked perfectly with both of us working remotely each day. Mike and Doug also responded immediately anytime I reached out which was helpful. The kitchen was well-equipped though we dined out primarily because the location was close to all the bars and restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! ##### Lisa G.
