Ocean Parc - Sea Views/Pet Friendly
With turquoise water and a sheltered sandy beach, Carbis Bay is a dreamy spot on the Cornish coast where days can be whiled away sunbathing, strolling along the shore, swimming or enjoying water sports.
With lovely sea views from its top floor and a private garden and parking, this four-bedroom home creates a terrific holiday retreat for families and groups of friends. Bright and welcoming, it has huge upstairs living room with a sea-facing balcony, as well as a comfy snug with an electric fireplace where guests can enjoy complete relaxation.
The kitchen is equipped with a range of appliances, utensils and facilities to make home cooking hassle-free, and guests can share meals, boardgames and conversation around the table in the separate dining room. The property’s bedrooms are on the ground floor and include a sunny twin, a generous double and two king size beds one of which is en-suite. Outside, the landscaped garden which lies to the back of the house has a decking patio which is furnished with a table and chairs making it ideal for alfresco dining and evening drinks.
For those who enjoy walking, the South West Coast Path lies within easy reach of the house. Stroll to Hawkes Point where the views over the bay are stunning. Porthkidney Sands lies close by with a mile-long beach which is backed by sand dunes. Nearby, St Ives is also easily accessible either by car, on foot or by train (about 3-minutes) so you can enjoy fish and chips on the harbour or a visit to the famous Tate St Ives.
Carbis Bay has a number of first-class restaurants so if you fancy eating out you can take your pick from spots like Walters On The Beach and The Hungry Gannet. Between Easter and October half term, the beach-based Ocean Sports Centre offers equipment hire and lessons so you can kayak, paddleboard and swim all day long. For a spoil, the Carbis Bay Hotel which is just down the road from the apartment, offers a range of spa facilities including treatments and pools.
Pets: 2 pets allowed. Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £40 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation.

The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. We bought 2 cars and were able to park one on the driveway and one on the grass ( which we were informed is reinforced for this purpose) - there is also a large car park at the end of the road. The neighbours were very friendly. There is a train station 7 minutes walk down the hill which goes to St Ives regularly and only cost 70p with a railcard. Also there is a shop nearby. The view in the living room was lovely. We had a great time.
Nothing could really prepare an older person for the steep return from the beach. The property could benefit from a hand held vacuum cleaner. There were issues in turn with the three bathrooms which could have been dealt with sooner. On a short stay (9 days) response must be quick and efficient. All in all we had a happy experience. Just remember older guests need to be fit for their age.
