St. Croix Government House

Nice and quiet facility

Our birthday trip was booked 6 months in advance. Upon arriving to the hotel, the woman checking us in was the most unfriendly person on the entire island we encountered. We learned that The Fred and Area was in an Off Season that was not disclosed prior to booking or at anytime prior to arrival to possibly change dates or location. The Spa was Closed, Hot tub empty, Room booked unavailable, Restaurant Closed all day or opens late and closes early. Entertainment stated on website was Nowhere to be seen on the resort. No rental or activities were available, mostly due to OFF SEASON. Resort was selected for option to not leave, however, that was clearly not feasible and had to go back to airport and rent a car. The noise ordinance posted was a joke. There was landscaping going on at 6:30 in the morning, trash truck pick up at 6am, music and 4 wheelers being ridden all hours. Office was closed until late morning and not available evenings. House keeping entered when sign was posted on door NOT to come in, then moved personal items like my friends toothbrush and put it back in the travel holder... WTH GROSS. Roaches, waterbeds, ants in the rooms. No exterior lights on our porch that was dark entering after sunset. The Positives I can state was the 1 pool they have even though 2 is advertised was relaxing even though pieces missing from the bottom and the Bar Tender we had a few times named Brandon was "AMAZING & ENTERTAINING", We did book a horseback & snorkel adv. both Great!
