The property was average at best. There were no shows or entertainment except for 1 night out of the 4 we were there. Theres no room service. The air in our room didnt work half the time. And 1 day we didnt have any hot water at all. The food on the other hand was very good and there was a few options to choose from. Our view of the island was majority rooftops of surrounding buildings.

I felt like the place was under staff. When I landed only one person was checking in people . The food was limited , one of the bartender was very rude . And forget lining up for food seems like you are in a soup kitchen waiting patiently because u have no choice

The resort is very beautiful and it’s located near shops and restaurants. It is in Maho beach so you can see the airplane land from the resort. What I did not like was the service. Some servers were really rude. They looked like they did not want to be there. Make sure you go to the restaurants early because they do not close at 10. They stop taking people at 9:30. There is no room service either. The people in the front desk were really nice.

We were celebrating my birthday and they decorated the room and gave 2 complimentary bottles of champs. Our flight was delayed and we would’ve missed our connecting flight so we stayed 2 extra nights and they upgraded our room. The resort restaurants were excellent in food and service.

Hotel lobby needs work. Rooms are not sound proof. Beds are worn out and uncomfortable. Restaurants were good, but thought there would be a more island flare. Most food was what u get in states.

This was our first time at Sonesta Maho. Overall it is an okay resort but I won’t be back for a second stay. Just a few things I wasn’t to fond off and they are the ocean isnt big at all. The rooms are not soundproofed as stated on the website. We had a room near the pool and you could hear everything also in the corridors you could hear everyone conversation. The only great thing about staying at Maho is you get a great view of the incoming planes. The food options are great at the buffet. Some restaurants onsite are closed some days. Some of the staff are friendly especially Ms. Rose who is currently a supervisor for the restaurants at the resort she goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. There were other staff who wasn’t friendly at all even when you try to make conversation. If you want a quick get away trip this is the place to go too.

Overall stay was quiet and pleasant. This specific area doesn't get busy until after 8pm daily. So don't expect much during the day. Head to philipsburg for activities. The only downfall is the service and staff. They're very laid back and slow when it comes to service. Feels like an eternity to get your food served and yet alone to have a drink made at the bar.

Overall great. All inclusive. Food options great. Huge buffet options. Drinks are brand name. For those who want to exercise there’s the gym plus every morning some activity. Trust me when I say do not stay at this hotel. The owner hasn’t been there since 2013, so imagine how disgusting the hotel is. Absolutely horrible. Stayed a week and was miserable everyday. Did not sleep- bed is like sleeping on a piece of hard wood floor. No chairs on the beach- not even a beach- tourists all over it huddled up taking videos of the planes. It’s literally on a road with cars. The pool liner is all coming up every inch of the pool- tripped on it multiple times. Bugs in my room. Tv didn’t work everyday. View was disgusting. Shower flooded every time I showered because of the design of it. Drinks horrible. Food horrible. I can go on and on and on. Do not pay money for this hotel trust me.

The location was great. The hotel was rundown, the staff was extremely unfriendly, the pool liner was sticking up so bad that we tripped on it every day, the beach was tiny and not easily accessible. The Palms restaurant was awful. The buffet was pretty good and we ate there most days for breakfast and lunch. The proximity to other locations was great, but I would stay in a different hotel next time.

The food is 10/10. I ate soo much on this trip. The staff is also amazing. Everyone was very friendly. I forgot my coat and they made the process of getting it shipped back easy. I will definitely return here. Amazing experience.

For the most part, very nice stay and love the taste of the food….Loved that! I didn’t like when arrived and I went to the restaurant for lunch. I arrived at 3:30 at the restaurant and the Dominican girl didn’t welcome us. Instead, she sent us to the snack bar. She said the place was closed for food and in reality it was not the time. The place for lunch closes at 3:45. I said I was going to report her. And immediately she let us in for lunch. That was not nice at all. Thank you for having the place so clean.

Average stay. I was there for a week. Waited 3 days for staff to fix my leaking AC. Had to place towels down daily for the dripping water. On day 4, maintenance came and fixed the AC. Staff in buffet restaurant were not friendly. Only the greeter for the buffet and bartenders were friendly. The food is average.

There are pros and cons with the party but let me start with the pros: beautiful beach, food was great and plenty of options for younger kids to eat , drinks were mediocre but nothing you wouldn't expect from an all-inclusive. Now the cons: customer service is just ok. There are just a few staff members who actually love their jobs and are great and others who are just plain nasty. Jorina front desk as I checked out just looked unfriendly and not even a " thank you I hope you enjoyed your stay". She took the towel cards and printed my receipt after I asked her for one and didn't say anything after that. Kennedy also gave my son a hard time going into the teen zone to play a little basketball (even though there was no one in there). It's a ridiculous policy to not allow kids to come in. I have a well behaved 6 year old who was bummed out. The kid's Beach Club is a babysitting club that also restricts kids from just coming in to play. Its more of a drop your kid off so parents can get drunk, I was not about to leave my kid. The kid's pool needs more maintenance and it smells moldy and dirty. The general pool is too deep for smaller kids to have fun so definitely not kid-friendly. Pool bartender I am not sure of his name but his attitude sucked. Please hire a more customer service oriented staff!

There are not many resorts that I would visit again for various reasons but I would definitely come back here. The staff are truly friendly and accommodating. I had a great vacation here and look forward to returning when Sint Maarten upgrades their airport because standing on line for immigration in the heat is not it. This resort met all of my needs and I’m happy I chose it.

Food was just okay as there are a bunch of options to pick from. Breakfast buffet is the best thing. Biggest mistake was not booking ocean point abd staying away from all the kids. Room was really bad. AC did not work and we called someone up to check on it and even after he changed the temp still was not cold enough. Sheets were dirty as well as stains on the wall (not sure what they were) overall 7 out of 10. Would try the adults only ocean point if I ever came back

Room was not that clean, one of the day I stayed, I have to asked to clean it otherwise they would have not clean it Toilet bowl was black, apparently not well cleaned for months or years… I asked to be cleaned and they did but obviously you can tell they cleaned but it has been like for too long to be able to be cleaned at one time
