This is an old, refurbished resort. Bathroom was very small, toilet size appropriate for a preschooler, not an adult.
Our view was the parking lot. Bougainvillea Bldg was right next to laundry facility for entire resort. Beeping vehicles backing up in the wee morning hours. Beach is limited.

The rooms were spacious and included a living and kitchen area. The accommodations also had a washer and dryer in the room and full kitchen set of appliances and utensils including a dishwasher and ice maker. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The manager worked with us to help extend our stay when our flights were cancelled even to offer us a reduced rate and keeping us in the same room. Very happy with our experience.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again, but request a room on the Beach side, not the courtyard. The location was perfect. On the beach, by the boardwalk, central to restaurants and shopping. The food in the restaurant was good, service was fabulous. My only negative comment would be the indifferent attitude of the hotel concierge. It seemed an effort to answer questions, leaving us feeling as if we needed to research what time activities began and what activities were available to us. Not all members of the concierge staff had this attitude, but the one individual who was suggested as the "expert" regarding excursions had us avoiding asking the concierge for help for the rest of our stay.

In general we had a great time. Upon arriving at the hotel I was so happy because it looked just like it was on the internet. Unfortunately when we went to check in they had over booked and in theory gave us an upgrade however they neglected to tell us that until we were taken to the room which did not have a view of the beach. When I called the front desk the young man was pretty rude. I ended up going down and talking to the manager on duty Elvis and he took care of getting us moved to a beach front room but it would only be for one night and then we would have to move again until a room would open up for the remainder of our stay. So the next day we had to check out at 11:00am and then we had to wait for the next room to open up at 4:00pm. Then when we got to our new room it was perfect except for the fact that the AC was off when we turned it on there was a burning smell. After 3 calls to the front desk the maintenance man Fernando arrived. It ended up that the AC fan motor was burned out and he took it upon himself to get us the room right next door which ended up being perfect. I shared all this with Sandra the manager and asked her what I could do in the future to make sure it didn't happen again she said I should email her the week before and she would make sure our reservation was exactly as we requested

Hotel isn't a 5 Star but it was a solid 4. Food very good, staff extremely accommodating and the view is top notch. Hotel could use a little TLC but very clean and for the price, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Great Bay Area. You won't be dissapointed!
