Located about 100 feet from the Matanzas River and within walking distance of the fort and all the downtown attractions, this home is classic, bright, and pleasantly decorated. The Tinner's House has a fabulous layout with two king bedrooms, one bedroom with a full bed and two twins, a queen pullout, full kitchen, spacious dining, cozy living space, two screened porches, and a courtyard in the back. Every detail has been thought of! Cook "at home" in the fully stocked kitchen, and rest well with crisp white linens and soft bath towels which are provided for you. A morning cup of coffee in the private courtyard will taste great just before heading out to explore. Enjoy a glass of wine on the porch in the evenings after taking a walk in this beautiful neighborhood or along the waterfront. Enjoy the kayaks provided to explore the Matanzas River a block away.



The convenience of The Tinner's House can't be beat! It is a 7-8 minute walk straight down Water Street to the Fort, and a short walk to the Visitor's Center, St. George Street, and all of the downtown area. Hop in your car or on your bike and Vilano Beach or Anastasia Island State Park is just a short 3 mile ride away along with the Amphitheatre, Alligator Farm, and St. Augustine Lighthouse. There is an eclectic mix of fun, antique shops, local great eateries and bars including Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille and St. Augustine Distillery, all an easy walk away!

Built in 1905, the Tinner's House is located in the Abbot Tract Historic District, part of Uptown St. Augustine. The neighborhood was developed by female land developer Lucy Abbott starting in the late 1800s up until the 1930s, making the district one of St. Augustine's oldest hidden gems.

We came on a weekend for Night of lights so the location was perfect. It’s so close to downtown that it made everything walkable! Huge plus that we didn’t have to worry about looking for parking most of the time. The house is a little on the older side but it’s wonderful, spacious and clean! It’s perfect for a big group/family. The hosts were so nice and provided us with the basic necessities and some goodies and coupons from some places nearby. We didn’t need to reach out to them but they provided a phone number just in case! We will definitely stay here again we’re ever in the area.

Great place for two groups

We did a weekend trip for two families with kids ranging in age from 3 to 19. The home worked perfectly for our group and the neighborhood was charming. I loved the screened in balcony. The location was perfect and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

Absolutely wonderful!

The house was so clean and inviting. There were 6 people total that went on the trip and we had plenty of room. The owners were so nice and communicated wonderfully. We will definitely stay here in the future. The location and everything was great! You will not find a better place to stay.

Awesome Location, Quiet Street

Location, location, location! We were there for Night of Lights and everything in the historic downtown was within easy walking distance. The kitchen in the house is huge, but if you don't want to cook, there are several restaurants and a convenience store less than a 5 minute walk. We felt extremely safe walking home at night and the neighborhood is super quiet. I'd stay here again!

Wonderful springbreak

Amazing!!

Family Getaway!

This house has been outstanding and is in a 1st class location for access to all that Old Town St Augustine has to offer. Plenty of beaches are a short drive as well as shopping and entertainment! Wonderful Vacation home!

My family and I rented this home for a 4 night stay. This house did not disappoint, we loved it! The home is charming, very clean, great size and amazing location! There were five adults and two kids for our stay and everyone was comfortable. The kids loved the pull out couch and all the adults were comfortable in the bedrooms. We rented this home so we could walk downtown and everywhere we went this weekend, we loved not having to drive downtown and worry about parking everywhere.

We had a great time walking to everything we wanted to do in St. Augustine. Coffee, delicous food & drinks are right down the street. Quiet, friendly neighborhood with beautiful historic homes and peaceful mission grounds to explore. We loved kayaking several times during our stay. Spacious rooms and great screen porches for hanging out. Fist time using iTrip and they were great communicators and so quick to respond, will be happy to do business with them again and can't wait to re-book!

The Tinners House was a perfect set up for our family. We easily could have had a few more stay with us. The house is spacious, clean and has perfect amenities. We walked to dinner multiple times and it was about 10min to get to St George St. We didn’t get to take advantage of the kayaks but we would see how close the drop in spot was. We would stay there again in the future.

Charming house in a beautiful neighborhood

We had a great time with our friends at the Tinner’s House. We appreciated the proximity to the city and the great shops a block or two away. The kayaks and the rollers included with the stay was a nice touch to be able to paddle around the intercoastal. The large room with two twin beds and a queen was great for all the kids to stay in. The other two rooms with king beds was great for the adults. Beds were comfortable but a little old as they were squeaky. We loved the screened in porches! Great stay overall and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location to walk everywhere

This house was the perfect location to visit St Augustine. We were able to walk to everything downtown easily under 10/15 minutes and return to a quiet neighborhood. The house itself was spacious and never felt crowded, even with 7 adults and 3 small children. Check in was super easy! There is street parking available if you have an extra car, which would have been nice information to have up front, instead of stressing about the parking garage. I would absolutely stay in the house again and recommend to friends and family visiting.

Tinner’s House

My family and I stayed at the Tinner’s House it is conveniently located downtown historic Saint Augustine. Everything was in walking distances. The house is more beautiful in person than the pictures and very clean!✨ Communication with property manager David was easy and clear. If I had a question David always got back to me in a timely manner and was very nice, thank you David. Beautiful Home Close to St Aug Attractions

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The home was clean and very well kept with plenty of comfortable sleeping space for our girls weekend getaway. The screened in porch on the first and second floor were wonderful to keep the mosquitoes away while enjoying the peaceful neighborhood. My only suggestion is more seating on the porches. We were a group of 6 and wanted to spend time on the porch together but seating was limited. Check in and check out was incredibly simple and we had no issues. I would stay again and recommend it highly! We have already suggested it to some other friends because of our experience. Thank you for opening your rental to us!

Beautiful, convenient and clean!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Tinner’s House. We were in town for a wedding and this home was so convenient for all events and for proximity to excellent restaurants. The home was clean and beautifully decorated, plenty of room for settling in for our stay. Great AC kept things cool and comfortable beds and sofas. The local contact # was very responsive to questions throughout our stay. For example, we wanted to make use of the kayaks and texted to ask about how to access them. They responded quickly with key code. The set up for kayaking was perfect – there were two mini “carts” for help in hauling the kayaks the 1 block to the water. We really enjoyed our kayaking outing, circling “Bird Island” which varies in size according to the tide. Also, enjoyed the beautiful grounds of “Our Lady of La Leche” which adjacent to this small neighborhood. We enjoyed checking out the vintage and gift shops in a walkable distance. We had a great stay and can highly recommend this home!

Best Equipped kitchen ever..wonderful home away from home

The Tinners House was by far our best vacation rental in our many years of visiting Florida in January . It is located in a stylish, quiet friendly uptown neighborhood a short walk to San Marco Avenue, the fort, the water, Fountain of Youth and old town. The home comfortably accommodates large groups and multiple generations with a first floor bedroom and bath and 2 upstairs bedrooms and a bath. The home was exceptionally clean. Our hosts always responded in minutes and we met the lovely property manager when she quietly dropped by each week to take the trash out. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy with the two screened in porches and lovely courtyard behind the house. We really enjoyed the gas grill. My favorite part of the home was the large kitchen with abundant storage space and everything a cook would need to prepare meals. We look forward to returning to The Tinner house or another St. Augustine I trip property.

Practically perfect in ever way

As Mary Poppins is described….this place was practically perfect in every way! Of course the location was perfect - walkable to the fort, St. George Street, the hop on hop off trolley stop, as well as the ever awesome Itty Bitty Donut shop. From communication, to cleanliness to check-in, we could not have asked for a better home away from home. A place we know without question that we will book in years to come. The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable and a well stocked kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed an unseasonably ‘not too hot’ weather anomaly; enough so we could enjoy the outdoor chairs and fire pit. The only suggestion we can think of for others is to say - if you love it dark like I do, bring a sleeping mask if you’re upstairs. While it is lovely to have tons of natural light, some black out shades would be cool. But no worries, as I always travel with a mask, so I was ready! We really couldn’t think of anything that would have made our stay better, other than wishing it was longer!
