Our family has been visiting this rental for over 10 years - there is an easy booking process, and it’s a great location to walk right down to the beach or a close drive to town. Plus it is really nice, clean property with super awesome space for large families/groups with its two master suites, other bedrooms with plenty of beds, perfect pool to cool off and dip the kiddos into, and tons of rockers on two decks to enjoy the views around. It also has great accommodations for our older and less able to walk family members with the elevator. David was very welcoming and quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Before the trip, we had planned to take the short drive to Saint Augustine. However, we never made the drive because we had so much fun at the beach, Vilano, and the house. The beach in front of the house is on an inlet. It had a huge tidal pool that was perfect for the boys. The house has a small pool that is perfect after washing off the sand from the beach. Although we didn’t visit Saint Augustine, we could see the lighthouse, fort, and historic buildings from the property. The house is very nice with great views. It was big for a family a 4\. It could have easily fit 2 more families. There aren’t many choices for restaurants in Vilano, but we liked the retro, small beach town feel. We highly recommend the trip. We had a wonderful family vacation at this property! If location and convenient access to the beach are priorities, this home is ideal. It’s only steps away from the sand, which made it easy to carry our chairs, umbrellas and beach gear. It also gave us plenty of opportunities to take morning and evening walks to search for seashells. The house sits at the end of a quiet street and is within walking distance of a grocery store and restaurants, so we rarely needed our rental car. The home is a short drive from downtown St Augustine, which made it easy to explore its history, shops, and attractions. Our beds were comfortable, and there were enough bathrooms and showers to accommodate our group. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookware we needed to prepare our own meals. There’s a small pool for relaxing and cooling off when we needed a break from the sand. The large deck quickly became a favorite gathering spot for the family. In the evenings, we’d sit in the rockers to watch the ocean and occasionally spotted dolphins passing by. We enjoyed looking at the lighthouse in the distance too. The listing is inaccurate. There are conservation dunes in front of the house so you are unable to access the beach from the house. The internet in the house does not work except if you are sitting right next to the modem. The TVs in all of the bedrooms do not work. The home needs updating. We messaged the management company and our concerns were not addressed except when we decided to leave the property 6 days early. We found a nicer home with actual direct Beach access and moved.
