One of my best hotel experiences ever! I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the The Residence hotel in Johannesburg. It was a beautiful and quiet retreat from the city and travel excursions. From the moment we entered the property, the staff made us feel welcomed and pampered. Everyone was absolutely delightful and accommodating. The staff enriched our time whether it was checking in, enjoying cocktails on the patio, sitting at the pool, or dining. We stayed in two different rooms one at the beginning of our stay and one at the end of our stay in Johannesburg (we did a Krueger tour in between). The Penthouse is incredible! The King jacuzzi suite was also amazing! It was truly a memorable experience. I highly recommend.

"I have stayed here many times for convenience. Late-night arrival and early-morning departure from O R Tambo. All the rooms and the bar area desperately need refurbishment. Sheets are clean, though!"
