The hotel is on several levels , dropping down the hillside and there are fantastic views over the valley. The staff were friendly and helpful. It felt like staying at a well-maintained family run hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful from the moment of check-in until the time we departed. The room was very clean. The breakfast was better than at many of the hotels I've traveled at in Italy. The woman who made our coffee each morning had our coffee preferences memorized on the second day. The location of the hotel is spectacular. It looks out onto a gorge and a 14th century bridge that crosses the gorge. You can walk across the bridge and on hiking trails on the other side of it. It remains a quaint, quietly elegant hotel with stunning views from huge windows (take the slightly more costly room to enjoy it). Short walking distance from the escalator system that makes mobility in town easy. The owner and staff were charming and accommodating. The staff was gracious in all that we asked of them, from finding a bike rental to helping procure train tickets.
