The hotel is on several levels , dropping down the hillside and there are fantastic views over the valley. The staff were friendly and helpful. La posizione dell'Hotel è ottima a due passi dalla Rocca e dalle stanze si può godere di una vista magnifica sul ponte. We stayed at Hotel Gattapone while visiting Spoleto and found everything about it to be wonderful. The location can't be beat with its proximity to two of the biggest attractions. The views from every part of the hotel are stupendous. The staff were friendly and helpful (even helping to park the car for us). It felt like staying at a well-maintained family run hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful from the moment of check-in until the time we departed. The room was very clean. The breakfast was better than at many of the hotels I've traveled at in Italy. The woman who made our coffee each morning had our coffee preferences memorized on the second day. The location of the hotel is spectacular. It looks out onto a gorge and a 14th century bridge that crosses the gorge. You can walk across the bridge and on hiking trails on the other side of it.
