"This was the perfect little family get-a-way for us. Right next to Gooseberry park, we spent the day playing in the water down at the mouth of the river and exploring the hiking paths from outside of the sauna building. I've stayed at this particular property for going on 15 years now and I can confidently say that its the best its ever been. The bathroom and kitchen remodel is wonderful, and the many blankets and towels makes the whole place feel so cozy. The new fire pit is incredible too! Not to mention the extra insulating they've done to the walls has really made a difference and we didn't hear any of our neighbors. Will be back hopefully next year to visit the fairy garden we found on the hiking path too! What a wonderful place to stay!"

"The location is excellent for exploring up and down the north shore, and the house is new construction and really lovely! We stayed two nights with young kids and it was perfect for our needs. Absolutely thrilled to find blackout shades in the bedrooms, which is so rare in short term rentals! We used the bonfire pit for s'mores and enjoyed looking at the stars. I do think a shade or curtain on the kitchen and bathroom windows would help with privacy, but most of the windows face the lake so we had no concerns most of the time. The lake view is mostly obstructed by trees but still is nice. Easy treks to Tettegouche, Two Harbors, Gooseberry, or even up to Lutsen if you were making a day of it. There is a bar/restaurant within walking distance with good smash burgers, but most food options in the area close early so having the kitchen was great. All in all this was one of the best legs of our family vacation week!"

"Property worked perfectly for us. Clean, close to the areas we wanted to spend time in, and exactly as advertised. The nearby state parks were within easy reach, and fishing in Ely was a very pleasant drive away. I wanted to be away from massive crowds during the high season. This location fit that bill. The hostess was immediately reachable for the couple of questions I had, which were very minor. I would absolutely do this again, at this property."
