"This place was a great find. Very close to the park entrance. We were only at the property for a quick 2 day trip. Our internet went down the first night but it was probably related to some outages. One thing I would say we just had enough towels for showering but no extra towels. There is a great hot tub that they heated up before we arrived which was a very nice touch. Just need the extra towels for hot tub use. Besides these small things it was a great property. "

Joshua Tree Retreat | Private Pool, Gardens & Cave-Inspired Estate

"From the time I booked this VBRO, the host was in contact with me and answered every question in a timely manner. His property is backed up to Joshua Tree with majestic boulders surrounding the back of the property and the pool was very private. He gave us a tour and explained the history of the property and has a wealth a knowledge of the area. My wife and I went for a quiet, anniversary weekend and this place did not disappoint. Very much a desert vibe, quiet, with roadrunners, quail, jack rabbits, lizard's and at night we loved watching the sunset by the pool with a few bats fluttering about eating any flying bugs and getting a sip of water. I hiked the back of his property to hopefully see a big horn sheep but unfortunately, I didn't see any but there are prints and droppings. If you enjoy the desert and love the desert views, expect peace and quiet, multitude or stars at night, and I forgot to say, a very comfortable bed......book this place, you won't regret it! Thanks again, we will be back!"

"The hosts were amazing. They made themselves available whenever possible and were very attentive through out our stay. The inside accommodations were great, the bedrooms were beautiful. It was a bit dusty, but nothing to prevent us from going back. The only thing that I wish would have been more clear is that the pool was an above ground pool and although it seems like a big lot, the neighbors were actually closer than we expected. But would 100% stay there again. Thank you."

"Todd and Leslie were so friendly and helpful, and the home itself is beautiful. It's surrounded by beautiful desert and everything inside was chosen with care too. (We got pretty good sleep on the earthing mattress!) Great hot tub too. We would definitely stay again!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is absolutely beautiful! We listened to records each night and soaked in the hot tub after our hikes. We did some star gazing with the telescope and climbed the boulders behind the house to watch sunset. Sunrise from the porch was beautiful!"

"Very nice, comfortable, and clean house. We appreciate that the host provides board games, internet access, and a variety of TV apps. The only thing missing was a BBQ grill. We brought steaks to grill and there wasn't a BBQ grill as mentioned in the amenities. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. "
