"Well located although Alesund is not that big. My room was a good size with a large wall to wall, ceiling to floor window overlooking the sea. Kept nice and clean during my stay (not by me). Excellent breakfast with a very wide range of options. I didn't try the top floor restaurant but it commanded an excellent view of the town without having to climb the 418 steps to the viewpoint at the rear of the hotel. Excellent WiFi. Parking to the rear and underneath at an additional cost."

The bathroom in the room, while beautiful, was not functional. The half door of the shower allowed water to get all over the floor. The sink was so small and the mirror stuck out so far over the sink that I could barely wash my hands let alone my face without getting water everywhere. Other than the bathroom, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy and everything was well cared for."
