We loved our stay at villa Elisa! The location was great. Easy access to other hill towns in the area, and a block from restaurants and coffee shops. The pool and hot tub were beautiful and such a huge plus after a long day of touring or hiking to colipino. We loved Spello— great restaurants and hidden alleys to explore. We hope to return!
What a lovely home, perfectly situated in a beautiful town in such an amazing region. A great base from which to explore Umbria. We stayed 5 nights but would loved to have stayed 2 weeks. Maybe next time! Thanks to our host Andrea for making us feel welcome and providing great tips. For the uninitiated in old towns, if you plan to drive, navigating narrow streets of Spello can be very stressful and finding this house was quite tricky (but well worth it). Get good directions from Andrea 🙂
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! The outdoor amenities are the real highlight -- we used the hot tub and the sauna every night. (If only the pool had been heated too!). Location was great, and we fell in love with Spello (and the local restauranteurs who were open during the off season--La Bottega di Teresa near the main square was our favorite and the owners are wonderful!). Andrea, the host, was tremendously kind and helpful leading up to, during, and after our stay. He even assisted with arranging a private chef for a specatuclar meal. A couple of notes to prepare yourself: Parking is VERY far from the house, at the bottom of the hill, and the elevators are currently under repair so you have a substantial hike uphill to get to the house. We had an injured member of our party, and it definitely caused us to have to think through logistics more than anticipated. Spello is so remote and the train station is at the bottom, so I don't know how you'd realistically explore without a car--not a problem, just worth noting since the parking is tough. If you plan to use the amenities, consider bringing extra towels with you--because we used the hot tub every night, towels and robes were constantly wet so it wasn't too pleasant getting out of the shower. (And we couldn't figure out if the washing machine was also a dryer or how to use it.) We'd stay here again in a heartbeat (and hope to)! Thank you so much!!

A WONDERFUL STAY
Spello is an incredible place, Villa Elisa is a great place! Beautiful, clean and peaceful! We loved the house and specially the SPA!
Very recommended!!!
The villa was everything it said it would be. Simplicity yet gorgeous. Total relaxation. Close to everything. Gracious and friendly owners became
like family. The most wonderful experience of my life. I will be back every year Andrea! Grazie mille
Weiterempfehlung trotzdem 10/10
Large home with all the amenities! Location perfect for walking Spello and for touring by the region! Parking is located about 7 min walk from the villa. Host was very responsive before and during the rental. Highly recommend Villa Elisa!!!
Casa perfetta per trascorrere una vacanza con amici; la piscina e la jacuzzi danno quel tocco in più per rilassarsi dopo una visita, un'escursione, una degustazione. Consigliatissimo!

Beautiful property in a beautiful city!
We enjoyed the quaint town of Spello! The property is located by the town square and very close to restaurants and shops. Parking is in the city outskirts and you must walk in; or hourly parking in the town square with limited availability (howvever you can park overnight in the town square). Driving can be challenging in the city with the narrow roads and one way streets. The property is comfortable, spacious, the bathrooms are big and nice. Beautifully decorated. The view is incredible. We were extremely happy with our stay and would love to come back. It is about a 2 hour drive to Rome, 10 min drive to Assisi and close to many vineyards. We highly recommend staying in this property in Spello.
